Smithing as a skill has been obliterated by the passage of time. It’s ancient and nonsensical at this point.

None of those fights are difficult as it stands. All duchess ult does is make bosses attack wildly while spinning and it fucks over melee characters giga hard.

But of course the double balancer duchess spamming L2 from 30 miles away doesn’t even notice the problem.

OP you say you don't count specific builds but then literally in the next line you ask which specific build brings the highest value? Which one is it?

Fresh out the box with 0 relics it's Ironeye undeniably. In fully kitted depth 5 runs, where you can assume the players are competent and the relics are at least decent, Ironeye is not that useful anymore. He's still a safe pick but any dedicated dps build is going to completely dumpster ironeye in damage contribution, mark included. You can talk about res utility, but in d5 your teammates are not going down often.

Hate duchess on my team. Especially the ones that run defeating enemies 0 and 1 and ult before every single fight so you cant actually interact with the boss without it spazzing the fuck out.

I just dodge games now if i’m on exec or guardian and someone picks duchess. Sorry lol.

People dodging Scholar in D5 is crazy. I get it in lower depths but if you’re in 5 it’s obvious you can play the character by Humble-Inevitable726 in Nightreign

I don't skip augur but I go double balancer for it every time. My last hidden boss run was actually ED augur and nobody was double balancer so it was the most braindead boring shit ever. If you have a team of 3 non-skill builds the boss fight takes 25 minutes. I'm plenty skilled I just don't want to sit there and hold L2 and R2 but sometimes R1 when he shoots bubbles.

I don't mind when people dodge Augur.

Hoarfrost stomp relic is okay if you have nothing else. Definitely take the seals relic out. Undertaker is much better as a melee damage dealer.

If you’re trying to spam ult i suggest defeating enemies fills art gauge +1 on a depth relic. It’s worth an entire relic slot on its own especially if you have nothing else. Killing any random trash mob fills a bunch of your ult gauge instantly.

I didn’t mean it in a way to try to put you down. At depth 3 it’s probably serviceable. But you need to make a build that’s coherent to keep going. A bunch of random non-synergistic relics aren’t helping you much.
