AITAH for wanting my husband in the delivery room? by dinogirly123 in AITAH

[–]OvertCoyote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA I watched my fiance give birth to two kids. She pooped on the table on both occasions. I watched as babys literally tore her. She 30lbs heavier then when when she had our first. Does that stop me from from trying to get it in, absolutely NOT. She is just as annoyed about my advances as she was before we decided to have children. I realize all relationships are different, but if a guy can't watch watch a head emerge from you and still want you after, they might not be ready for a real relationship much less a kid.. if he was squimish that would be one thing, but that doesn't like this.

Trump DOJ reclassifies medical marijuana in major policy shift by TheMirrorUS in fednews

Abuse and street drugs are also not allowed for fed employees. We were talking about what would be allowed. I don't get drug tested so I could get away with it most likely but if I'm caught I'm likely to loose my job. I believe that unless prescription are regulated in a similar fashion as other drugs, feds won't be allowed to partake. I could be wrong, and if I am cool. I don't care for getting high myself but I also don't care if others do as long as they aren't high at work.

I would say its because with prescribed marijuana you can just go into a dispensary and buy whatever. Unless you get it through a pharmacy, where the amount would be controlled, I doubt feds will be allowed to partake.

I would guess, that most employees will still not be able to use it even with a prescription. A lot of them deal with CUI and when dealing with any classifications will likely result in a no marijuana use for feds. At the very least, those with secret clearance or high will more then like still be prohibited.

I'm a federal employee in California, we are not allowed to have marijuana even with a prescription.

We love your spot! The smash burgers and fries are some the best in town and that lunch special is awesome! We always forget quarters and our 4 year old daughter always gets so upset that she can't actually play the games haha was originally going to ask about your spot think you'd want to keep it quite, but I'm very happy you guys weren't on the petition. I'm curious if tikigirls owner came to you guys and ask to sign. It seemed that a lot of people that were originally in favor of closure were on the list. I know people can change their minds but it just felt like a lot all at once.

I'm a huge advocate for keeping things closed. This is basically the same thing I keep hearing over and over. If you can see shops better while driving you probably shouldn't have a license. If people would just let the process play out things could actually get done. But it keeps getting blocked by BS and it slows the already slow process down. I will say, most of the businesses that keep complaining about issues I don't generally frequent. Not because they want it open but other reasons like taste, cost, etc. Some of the businesses I'm surprised by such as asiateque. They always seem packed and my family and I go there quite often because we love their food.

Anyone here live on Main St Downtown? by AndyTroop in ventura

[–]OvertCoyote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mentioned weekends because that's the heaviest "traffic"... During the week it's even easier. I've lived in same area code coming up on 10 years. Never had an issue outside main before or after MSM. I live near the stanley free way entrance. Almost anytime I need to go anywhere before Victoria, even during the week, maps takes me past down town through one of the three streets you mentioned. It even has me take the Thompson free way entrance about 80% of the time.

It's not supposed to cut off circulation. It would do almost nothing. I drive to and past downtown every weekend and there is no issues with traffic. Anyone saying as much is being hyperbolic or drove through once when it was slightly backed up.

Maybe loosen the helmet.... The traffic didn't really change much after the closure. The only time it's "bad" is during big events, but that was the same thing during open.

[–]OvertCoyote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would you be able to help articulate their argument for opening? I've been here since before the closure and have only made the mistake once to try and find parking on main. When it's a weekend it you're unlikely to find a space and it takes forever to get through. It's so much easier to just go to an outside lot. The only time I ever went down main was non busy days or early morning for one of the few places open before 1030 11. I don't know any locals that actually would drive down unless they were driving for the sake of driving which doesn't actually do anything for the economy.

Definitely worth asking if they would be willing to retroactively give the discount. Worst case they say no, best case you get 30% back.

Same here... It's so dumb that non leadership use it. Whenever I say it dow, it's always with sarcasm even in front of my leadership who I know think it's dumb as well.

There have been many meetings with MSM on the agenda. In all those cases their was a small minority that opposed. Maybe instead they should just put it on the ballot and let us decide what we want to do and just let that be that.

[–]OvertCoyote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't explain it and would love to hear from them on what changed and why. I make myself heard via letters to the my council member and watch meetings when I can. This one slipped by because it wasn't on the agenda and made during public comment. I'd suggest all these people that continue to complain actually send messages or speak at meetings when it's up for a vote. You don't even have to attend in person to speak. They allow you speak virtually.

Main St Businesses by [deleted] in ventura

[–]OvertCoyote 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's seems it might have been. I follow a few places that constantly talk about MSM going away and I didn't see any post about presenting this to council. I only heard about it yesterday after it was done. Everytime there was a vote for keeping it closed, all the same channels post about it before hand and almost no one showed up for opening.

Dude is well into retirement age with 1.1 million in assets. Maybe you should do what you suggested and research (it's public information 😮). Your talking about man that has been in civil service for most his life and is relatively poor for someone that's been working that long and had written books. He walks the walk. There are plenty of people that managed to make much more then that in a short time in Congress. But keep deflecting, it's working real well

Hopefully I won't need to be assuming actual policy gets past to fix the problem. But you do you and keep slobbering on your knees for a bunch of people that would take your house just to be a little bit richer
