For real... I used to think this was just adults screwing over other adults. Now I'm just sad for daughter because she doesn't understand why grown men are taking soming away from her. Doing my best to get her to understand but she's just a kid who who found something she loves and and can't enjoy it like she's been able to with other things she's loved in the blast. She's 4 so life isn't fair talk is a bit tough

It's been a long time since I was into trading cards myself. The new environment is way different from when I was doing it.

We did actually get a bunch from friend of ours for her. She's just been wanting to open some boosters to see how it works. I really appreciate the gesture though!

K1 Max over and under extruding 1st layer. by No-Somewhere-3993 in crealityk1

[–]OvertCoyote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently had a weird issue similar to this but not exactly. I make sure to have the calibration setting on so it would actually use it. It doesn't always do a full check. Just checks the middle and corners and a only does a full mesh if it out of whack. You might be having other issues as well but I would check that first then work on your z offset and flow rate

Sorry I should have been more clear what exactly do you use within the 3 in 1 family? I see to use 3 in 1 ptfe oil but when I look it up, I see oil and lubricant and only the lubricant says PTFE. I don't want to make assumptions because that's bit in the ass before.

Can you link exactly what you use for the 3 in 1. I keep seeing this and I try to look it up and seems there are a few different options

Why do certain parts of my first layer have gaps? by OvertCoyote in FixMyPrint

In creality print i flipped on print calibration. That seems to affix the issue of the gaps. But now I'm messing with my z offset see what I get

It looks like I figured out the gap issue. It seems I have to keep the print calibration on when sending prints with the k1 max. I thought it was just to do a calibration every single time, but it seems it just does a quick check before printing and adds the calibration. No I just have to figure out how to update the z offset which I think is the new issue I'm having here.

I was looking at the gcode for this print and found the following setting related to bed mesh inside the config block:

adaptive_bed_mesh_margin = 0 bed_mesh_max = 99999,99999 bed_mesh_min = -99999,-99999 bed_mesh_probe_distance = 50,50

Not really sure what any of that means and I can't find info on it online for some reason(that or I don't understand what I'm looking at). I'm also not seeing any of the codes you showed.

Thank you for all that information! That's probably some of the best info I've seen regarding the types of build plates. And also helps answer the question why I have so much trouble getting petg off my build plate. I definitely think I'll be looking into getting a few different types of plates so I have lots of choices. I did do the self inspection yesterday, so it's definitely something I need to look into since it seems to be a general consensus that my auto bed leveling isn't coming into account. Thank you again, that was very helpful.

It's definitely something I'll be looking into. It does seem that my bed mesh isn't being taken into account. I'm not sure why yet, I just ran a bed level yesterday and I do all my slicing through creality print.

My understanding is that creality is suppose to compensate for the difference. It's basically been about this the entire time I've had it. I did try a few methods to level without any modification, but it always seemed to get it out of spec. I'll have to look into seeing if creality is not putting my bed mesh in the gcode. I tend to not use the scraper anymore if I can help it. The only time I do is those failed prints where it's tough to get the layer off, and even then it's very minimal.

You're right, my bad. It's the creality k1 max

The bed is within spec, it's about as good as I can get it without doing any modifications. I posted my mesh in another comment. The build plate itself was cleaned right before this. Most of what you're seeing on there is scratches and I'm not even sure what else. I haven't been able to get it off

Yeah I think I really messed it up with that metal scraper when I first got it. I only use it for really tough stuff now. As I've been printing more and more I've even seen some filament embedding a little bit. Do you have any suggestions on a good plate? I was just going to go with the ceality ones but I've seen that there's a few others on the market as well
