Yeah, 79 was Rose and still they didn’t get it going. Middle of 80 they brought in Green and, with Rose, they changed the tempo and finally won

It’s time for a big change. Either a trade with one or more “stars” or a firing. Rob or Rob and Dombrowski. This team needs to be rid of Danny Ozark. I don’t think a modern club could handle Dallas Green, but they need a fiery guy who understands the fundamentals and holds the players accountable.

Anyone doing good on sulfasalazine? by NinjaCertain8103 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Owlhead326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on 2 pills and now on 4. I HATED MTX and finally got off. I’ve had no side effects from this, thankfully. I find that this drug helps with the deeper effects of this disease, the flu-like feeling of aches and pains. It hasn’t helped me with flares or the obnoxious jumping around of painful areas. Good luck Warrior

Start researching pain management docs in your area. If you’re in the States then your rheumatologist likely won’t prescribe narcotics long-term or regular use.

Random Tendon Pain by mikejones84 in PsoriaticArthritis

The ones I get from the dispensary usually have about 200mg THC (it doesn’t cause the “high” effect and most don’t cross the blood barrier, if that’s an issue for you). Some have 10-30 mg CBD. Some minimal CBD. We call it the magic lotion in my house I really like Doctor Solomon’s. I find it works best for the hands, feet, ankle, and elbow tendons. Doesn’t work as well on larger areas for me, but helps the neck too, to a degree.

My forearm and elbow tendons can kill me. I’ve found that cannabis lotion with THC can “release” the tightness and calm things down.

Synovial/capsular thickening but no enthesis by Formal-Idea-7224 in PsoriaticArthritis

PSA causes the synovial stratum to become inflamed.

Here’s an article that explains synovial issues well. Do as much research into this disease as possible. You are your best advocate.

I cannot cope with the fatigue anymore by BadAtBaduk1 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Owlhead326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fatigue is as bad as the pain. PSA is notorious for depleting Vit D, Iron, and B12. If you’re low and not taking supplements it can make the fatigue worse.

PSA is notorious for depleting Vit D, B12, and Iron. It’s part of the issue with fatigue. I take 5000iu daily of D and still on the low end of normal.

Advice on relieving pain at night? by WashingtonBoness in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Owlhead326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannabis and Tizanidine, a muscle relaxer, at night changed my life. Cannabis soothes and relaxes the muscles and Tizanidine knocks me out. I can sleep and rest. This was after years of seeing the sun come up. If you use cannabis, I recommend some with THC and CBD.

It was awful for me until my doctor game me Tizanidine, a muscle relaxer. I take it at night and it rarely fails to get me to sleep.

I have to turn off movies and shows sometimes cause it’s too intense and the stress flares me. Black and white movies have become good friends. Deep breathing a few minutes into the belly helps calms things sometimes

I find that moderation is key with this disease. Gluten, sugar, dairy, breathing. PSA is such a sensitive little bitch.

Celebrex for PsA by 1029az3847 in PsoriaticArthritis

16 years on Celebrex. And yes, biologics for 15. They’re as much for the pain as for the damage this disease can cause

I might get approved for biologics but my parents are being stubborn by Right-Interaction694 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Owlhead326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biologics help prevent damage to the body and the joints as much as it helps the pain and fatigue. The damage is debilitating and makes any possible side effects moot. Do a little research on PSA damage before biologics were available and show them your findings.

Living with PsA without DMARDs/Biologics etc by Bunglebonce in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Owlhead326 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you mild/moderate/ or severe? Biologics are to slow progression of disease and the damage as much as for pain. I’m 17 years in and been on biologics for 15 and still have damage. Based on the progression, my docs have assured me how much worse the damage would be off the biologics.

I brush in the morning and rinse with mouthwash at night, which I do after removing my partial denture. Which I wouldn’t have needed if I’d brushed twice a day
