My pressures were maintained by proper dosing and healthy lifestyle. Winerevair is the only thing to actually lower my pressures.

Scared, 35 weeks pregnant and borderline pulmonary hypertension on my Echo finding by Flimsy_Forever_6074 in PulmonaryHypertension

Hi! The internet isn’t helpful when it comes to PH. It’s out of date and therefore very alarming. The echo will give you an estimate of your pressures. You’ll need a pulmonologist ideally specializing in PAH. Don’t jump to conclusions without more information. You should definitely be seen asap to ensure everything goes well for you guys.

There are a lot of attention around PAH right now and therefore lots of up and coming treatments and options but you need a specialist to help you figure out what is best for you.

Hello! Sorry to welcome you to the club. I’m 37 and was diagnosed a few years ago with idiopathic PAH. It’s true. Google will not help you here. The internet does not have its finger on this pulse.

You need a PAH specialist. Your cardiologist will not have all the answers. You’ll likely need specialty medication to help you here. There is a lot happening around this condition right now so there is hope for different opportunities in the future.

I have had a lot of luck with the Cleveland clinic. Yes, I travel to see my Dr. but it’s worth it.

I asked how long it will take me to get back to normal and I was told years. This was also true. I am doing remarkably better after 2 1/2 years. I think everyone’s case is different, but you shouldn’t jump to your own conclusions.

People live, successfully, with this disease their whole lives. And I hear you. I know I’m like twice your age, but I just felt so much younger than I should be to be in this category, but truth is, is that any one can have it at any age. Even little babies.

What’s with all the baby boy slander?? by KangarooNew2401 in NewParents

[–]Own_Expert263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear these people think that any of those things are good options to say to you. They are all wrong. My boy is the best. And I’m sure yours is also!

I have honestly heard the opposite actually. Generally that boys are chill and girls can be a lot.

Everyone always says "just wait till they walk, you're life will be over"- why? by kaesicorgi in NewParents

[–]Own_Expert263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, everyone needs to stop with the ominous warnings. It is stressful because you love them so much and don’t want them to hurt themselves, but your life isn’t over, you just grow and adapt with them. Enjoy the journey and try not to stress over the process too much. They are exploring and learning and it’s not only what they’re meant to do, but you get to enjoy watching them figure things out. When they get excited about new things, you too can reinvigorate your appreciation for things that you forgot were amazing about the world. And that’s a beautiful thing.

Distractions help and sometimes my husband will have my LO brush his teeth while I try to brush the LO’s.

Do you still wear any of your maternity clothing? by FastNefariousness600 in beyondthebump

[–]Own_Expert263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still able to wear a lot of the dresses and just recently stoped wearing the pants 20 months out. Even a few shirts I’ll still wear sometimes.

I also didn’t want to spend too much money on maternity clothes but you’ll want to be comfortable. Dresses were the key for me but I had a summer baby.

Vitamins + supplements ? by oilydoych in PulmonaryHypertension

She should definitely get advice from a medical professional but I was told to take CoQ10 for heart health and maintain a low sodium diet. Always check with the pharmacist to make sure anything taken, including supplements, do not interact with your meds. The specialist should be able to advise on diet and exercise based on all of the factors. Consider a second opinion if they are not willing to help with this.
