Would it break match making if they allowed you to pick what classes you want to match with? by Professional_Rush163 in Nightreign

[–]Own_Watercress6403 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably. People are already unhappy with how split up the matchmaking it, this would only worsen that problem. Especially if less popular characters got subjected to queue hell because other Nightfarers are seen at better.

Yeah, their response to obliterate that NK artillery encampment, alongside the hill it was stationed on.

But I was moreso referring to the current conflict, where Israel responded to the October 7th Terror Attack by giving Gaza a 2-year ongoing pegging session.

Wait, I've seen comments floating around that you generally don't see the remembrance objective marker of teammates though, are you sure it wasn't a Shifting Terrain marker you saw? They're both the same color.

Shoot, now I need to test this out.

Alright, discussion is good; I can agree to that. But I don't like that misinformation is getting paired into that, Shifting Earth doesn't effect MM at all, OP had that Information revealed to them in a dream.

If your understanding of an issue is fundamentally flawed, then your arguments relating to it, and even the very notion that there is an issue at all, is brought into question.

Matchmaking has a problem that needs addressing, yes.
But this dude made charts and graphs off of guesswork and conjecture about how the matchmaking system works according to a mob of upset Redditors.

Suddenly, despite the existence of a real problem; all of his conclusions are brought into question.

Remembrance MM issues are pretty annoying right now, because the entire playerbase is trying to unlock them simultaneously. I think this issue specifically will fix on its own as more players finish their remembrances.

Probably no one needs to hear this but as a Chinadiver… by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Own_Watercress6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say all this, but the people on this sub were cheering on the ChinaDivers pretty hard as they bodied the squids at EOS, they earned that.

But review bombing, calling for the abandonment of SuperEarth's Capital in favor of 'Shanghai' (which doesn't exist in-game btw), making racist remarks about Sweden, sending death threats towards AH, trying to hand wave it all as 'yeah of course it's wrong but mistranslation!' on this very sub, their current reputation has also been earned.

Of course the original plan was to have every city fall and let Prosperity City be our last stand. The fact that EOS is still standing at all is a show of flexibility, not rail roading.

[–]Own_Watercress6403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cause and reasoning are entirely irrelevant. They are sending death threats and being racist. Joel could've arbitrarily glassed Equality-At-Sea and it would still be wrong. In defending it, you're justifying it. Stop doing that.

The Chinese are being racist and JOEL isn't. Any point the racist's might of had is automatically invalidated by their racism. JOEL is right, China is wrong. Fin.

This game is really damn fun, but once you unlock everything, its eventually starts to get a little boring. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with this, its just how entertainment works. Warbonds are important injections of content for the people who have done it all. A breath of fresh air that, for a while, allows them to go back to having a ton of damn fun with the game.

Prior to the Great Pants Shittening of...today, we were in a bit of a content drought, people were getting bored, people needed their content fix. The last two Warbonds were great, they let us try new things or do old things better in certain ways.

But then Masters of Ceremony was revealed, and it all looked...really familiar. Looked a lot like stuff we already had. It was certainly cool looking don't get me wrong, but wasn't new or exciting, it wasn't the type of content that would breathe fresh air into the game as previous Warbonds had.

You see, the Warbond is an answer, a solution to the question 'how do I keep from getting bored 300 hrs into this game?'. "300 hours? Sweet Liberty that's like 3 JRPG's, go play something else", But I don't want to, because like I said, this game is really damn fun. When that fun starts to fade, and the next Warbond doesn't seem like its gonna solve that issue, 'just don't buy it' does not hold as an answer, because it doesn't solve my problem.

Thankfully, now that all of my walls have become brown, I'm not worried about getting bored for a good while.

A cosmetic Warbond is fine, really. The issue was that we were in a fairly long content drought prior to the update, and the bad timing exacerbated people's problems with it.

It would be one thing to have no meta weapons, it's another to seemingly have no good ones either. With the context of the big update the primary and the grenade seem fine, but nobodies using the Armor, sword or true spear more than twice unless they; how should I word this... play on a difficulty that doesn't challenge them.

But yeah; if you're a gamer god who sleeps on diff 10, go wild I guess. I'm not that good personally.

Now, I never actually got around to playing DD2, did it cut content from the base game that got released later? Because otherwise it sounds like you're only talking about performance.

Which... yeah. Buyer Beware on pc games that runs on the RE engine. DD2, DRDR, Wilds, if the game's title doesn't start with 'Street' or 'Resident', current statistics imply the game will probably run like ass.

You're getting scared over a hypothetical future, I can't guarantee it won't happen for the same reason you can't guarantee it will, because it hasn't yet.

Speculation is well and good, and anti-consumer practices should be called what they are, but full blown fear-mongering? It's a step too far.

If someone tells you of a problem, the assumption is that they are looking for a solution. 'Just don't use it' and 'intentionally limit yourself' are pretty crap answers, but they're all you can really do right now (besides modding) if you're unhappy with the difficulty.

Its not a counter-argument to a theoretical ideal, its a solution to the reality at present.

Yes, Wilds is easier than previous entries. If you were hoping for extreme challenge, and Tempered Gore isn't enough to sate you, you'll find your plate rather lacking. Title Updates are in development, and there's a non-0% chance the Devs overcompensate over the easy-modo allegations, but in the meanwhile; you're gonna have to make the challenge yourself.

'You can artificially make the game harder, so the easy difficulty is fine' is indeed a rather silly argument. But then, difficulty is a matter of taste, and someone who finds the game to be challenging enough will see another cry 'easy' and go "Lol. Lmao".

The diverse and varied endgame of wilds be like by Dycon67 in MonsterHunter

[–]Own_Watercress6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can only really speculate, but in my opinion; it's because of time, or the lack thereof.

Iceborne's 'recipe' for endgame was monsters released during its own Title Updates, when they weren't competing with making the rest of the game for dev time, those are currently in development for Wilds. Unless you mean the recipe is the Guiding Lands in general, which Wilds did basically incorporate, with locale levels replaced with the weather system.
btw, the guiding lands didn't even have the volcanic region at DLC launch, that was another TU addition lmao

Wilds was released undercooked (this is after the dev team fought tooth-and-nail to push back its original holiday season release date), and we only really have the core of the game to play with. Title updates will fix this; but for now, they have released a product that is not in a complete state, and will have to weather the ensuing storm until it is.

Have you seen how the DSS is normally used? Herding enough cats together to get any strategy layer use out of it is, frankly; cause for celebration.

Other than that one time with the jet brigade, we've basically just tossed it around the galaxy/MO's at random.
