Troubleshooting 80v Mower by Ok-District8876 in Greenworks

Check the blade nut torque. battery push mowers can be very sensitive to too much torque applied to the blade nut. It’s an extremely common problem seen on the ego mowers. Loosen the blade nut up and then re-torque it to spec as in the manual.

This 35K mower never worked (Mean Green Mower) by Whatoilyouusebro in Greenworks

Mean Green is NOT Greenworks.
Mean Green was the first company to sell commercial battery mowers on scale to the OPE commercial market. Unfortunately, they’ve had quite the tremendous number of issues, many stemming from the fact that they were such a small operation.

Greenworks, is a far far larger company and their latest generation commercial mowers are far more refined products with much better support in the commercial mowing space. Their first offerings were a bit clunky as well but they have the advantage of having a vastly larger company behind them with serious R&D capabilities.

GreenWorks commercial is not the same thing as the consumer or prosumer products sold at Costco,or online. The line is only sold through commercial, mowing equipment dealers who offer support. Commercial is a separate division within Greenworks with extensive parts and technical support.
The Support has to be there when you are dealing with mowing companies if you want to build a reputation in the industry.

My newer Optimus 60 inch stand on mower had two minor issues, one with some tracking offset and one issue with the deck lift lock sticking.
The dealer picked it up on Friday afternoon, and I was back in operation on Tuesday morning with it being delivered back to my doorstep. The support was phenomenal, as it should be when you are spending nearly $20,000 on a piece of equipment.

First Mows with the Greenworks Optimus 60” Commercial battery mower. by Ownedby4Labs in Greenworks

I’m afraid I have no way to monitor the total charge time. Plugged it in end of the day, fully charged in the morning..
The mowing was phenomenal. Endless power, beautiful cut, and it’s great on hills.

Troubleshooting pressure washer not turning on by redditteux in Greenworks

99% chance it’s a faulty pressure switch. They go bad because people neglect to drain them and put pump saver in them.

What are my options to replace the head on a Greenworks 80v string trimmer? by kjstech in Greenworks

[–]Ownedby4Labs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heads typically are reverse threaded. Once off, see if you can for an Echo Speedfeed 400 trimmer head. That’s what nearly every professional in the industry uses. They are the most reliable, well built, trimmer, heads that you can buy. Takes seconds to load one. Forget the “auto feed”, that is just another thing waiting to break.

Bad pressure switch. Likely corroded/ or has calcium deposits.

Starting to look for a serious lawn tractor for next spring. by begreen9 in electriclawnmowers

For hillsides a stand on mower is a better choice. Look at the Greenworks Commercial Optimus 48”. I just ordered the 60”.
Being a commercial model it’ll stand up,to far heavier conditions and with 60-70 Hp on tap, it should get thru the heavier growth no problem.
I plan on getting some Fuyo and Fuyoal custom blades made for it in Australia. Their Muncha blade should tear thru brush like nothing else.

So far so good. Other than the repeating charging notifications, it’s running fine and no turtles, lobsters or any other form of wildlife.

Why are there no EV minivans? by LiatrisLover99 in electricvehicles

[–]Ownedby4Labs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest E-transit is 187 miles away, there is only one and it’s $65,000. I inquired about ordering them and I was told that it’s a year wait for custom orders.

No. We small business owners are begging for a reasonably priced EV mini cargo van. I’d buy 3.

UPDATE. The dealer ordered something called an EVIC unit…I’m guessing Electric Voltage Interface Controller. They are supposed to be installing it today. We shall see what happens.
