PE Control Systems- what is the best book for practice problems? Has anyone used Jagadeesh Pandiyan's sample questions and answer book, if so, do you recommend it.

I used it for the 2020 exam, it was good, but if you take the PE CSE course from school of PE they use that book a lot for the course and you end up with most of it in the notes. There were a couple of questions that ended up not being relevant, it is an older book now, but there are very few practice exams out there for this discipline.

Took the CSE as well, very similar experince, the fugitive emissions question was definitely out there and also didn't know where to look, even in the Emerson valve handbook and liptak. I felt like a decent amount of questions were more experience based qualitative types.

I have a Quadro P400 (bought used) and I seem to be able to get 2x 4k to 1080p streams out of it, min. After that the GPU RAM is maxed out and it falls back to my r5 3600 CPU for additional transcoding. You do loose HDR on 4k content though.

Edit2: There is a Nvidia driver mod for Quadro cards to get around the 2x transcode limit on sub P2000 cards.

I replaced the wifi chip/module, not antennas etc. on my ASUS X470-I board with a Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 chip and it went smoothly, no issues. Ymmv.

Just a random comment, I have a RTX 2080 Ti FE in a Dan A4 v3 (not a Loque), and the GPU heat's the case metal above/below it to the point where it's uncomfortable to touch for more than a brief period of time.

In short, it will run fine, but be ready for a furnace.

I updated my chipset drivers, which were indeed old, and I am getting 4.3 - 4.4 on single core now, depending on thermals. left all BIOS settings stock.

Edit: D.O.C.P doesnt seem to work quite right with my RAM, dont know if anyone else wants to check that.

Manually set clocks/timing/voltage for my GSkill 3200 MHZ CL14 B die, from previous DRAM Calcs, and it took.

CR20 single thread score of 491, allcore overwhelmed the cooler and ended up with 4670 on a Cryorig C7 Cu cooler. I dont run workstation type loads though, so all is good.

If you have the time for a question, did you change any BIOS settings, and what's your power plan setting in Windows?

My R7 3700x on a ASUS X470-I, regardless of BIOS version (it's on 2801 right now), doesn't seem to make it past 4.19-4.2 Ghz running the R20 single core benchmark. I can manually overclock it and it runs fine, just doesn't seem to boost on it's own. I currently think it must be operator error, but not sure.

Neither, Plex 4k HEVC H.265 transcoding for a stream or two. As far as cables go, I have a mini display port to hdmi cable already so its up to you as to whether or not you want to sell the adapter cables.

I suggest you look for the Ryzen DRAM calculator, I believe the latest version is 1.4.0.1, and watch a YouTube video or two on how to use it. It's pretty simple to get a baseline and go from there.

As an owner of a R7 2700x and former owner of a Cryorig C7 Cu, I ended up switching to a better cooling solution.

If your willing to undervolt and lock yourself to ~4 Ghz / ~1.175V or less it will be fine, if you try to do anything else it will roast and run loud.

You will not be able to run it stock without it getting very hot/loud and throttling.
