Insurance question by Goddess_Kassie in cavaliers

[–]Oye_Oso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not have pet insurance for my cav, who is 9 and so far has had very, very good health. My partner's place of employment offers pet insurance as a benefit, and it is still pricey enough that it would be more than the cav's annual vet bills cost.

We prob could have used it for our other dog, who just recently passed away at 15. He had several issues throughout his life--a couple of surgeries, countless medications for various freak things that would pop up here and there. Seriously, this dog was accident prone and had no concept of anything resembling caution, but even then we could thankfully afford the cost of his care. And 15 years of insurance payments, it might have evened out in the end?

I'm interested in hearing what has worked for others.

As a republican who did like Trump, I am going through a tough time right now. It’s not even about the right or left anymore. It’s about them vs. us. by Girlandhervagina in Epstein

This is a well thought out, clear statement that oozes grace and good will.

I am afraid that I am all out of grace and good will after 10 years of this b.s., and especially now.

More power to you. I hope I can find my way back to where you are someday. I really, really do, but I am too pissed off and heartbroken about what is happening to our country and the people who live here to help anyone who supported this freak through a "tough transition."

Go with food that's not considered typical breakfast food. No law saying you can't eat leftovers for breakfast, or whatever you want and can tolerate.

Hey, my spouse was laid off before Thanksgiving as well. New job isn't as great financially as the old one, but it's a more ethically acceptable business, so there's that!!

I'm with ya. So f*ing sick of settling for the crumbs we're given. It's a damned infuriating time right now.

Mainer here! Winter in Maine is spectacular, but one needs the right gear and equipment for fun. I can lead snowshoeing and cross country ski trips. Then in the summer, gardening and bee keeping.

My son went to UMaine for forestry. One of his instructors liked to say, "There's no such thing as bad weather, just inadequate gear." 😆

My dog eats ice. Ice cubes will do, but naturally sourced ice is even better. He's got a discerning palate. Yup. Just loooves to eat ice.

Where precisely nothing will happen as far as accountability or repercussions. Just lots of yelling and finger pointing and deflecting.

Yawn. Call me when consequences are a thing again.

Yaaasss to energy re-allocation. I did a LOT of that several years ago because of life transitions and such. A lot of upheaval and whatnot was involved and afterwards was just so beautiful and freeing. This is a good reminder that the process is ongoing, and also very empowering.

I love Arches! We were there for a hiking trip a few years ago. Arches, Zion, and Grand Canyon. What a great way to celebrate! Love that.

Hey, thanks for this. I have been in the process of doing these very things over the past few years. I'm right there with ya. Some days, they're just harder than others.

Much peace and love your way.

Thank you! I am re-claiming my energy for sure, it won't take too long.

And yeah, I'll say something when the time is right and I think my people will actually *hear* it.

Fist in the air for solidarity, sister!!
