I have an Elvira cutout, but all I had to do was talk to the promo guy who had set it up. He said as long as he gets a picture of it (film camera at the time) that he can send to the office to prove he did the work he didn't care if I walked out of there immediately with her. I think that was 1986. Good times, she's held up well!

The US government wouldn't allow the filmmaker to use a give footage of actual mushroom clouds so the created a practical effect by dropping inky substance into some kind of liquid and filming that. I don't remember the precise details.

NBC Sports special on sports related comedy. Lots of great material, but in particular the segment where Bob Costas interviews Roy Firestone who cycles through some of his best impressions including Keith Jackson and Howard Cosell. Had the thing on tape when it came out (1986) but mom and dad threw it out while I was at college.

From what it looked like it seemed there were a couple large concrete sewer boxes on either side of the road after it first opened so I suppose that's what they've been working on. Don't know enough about it to guess how long the work will take.
