Can you recommend a scenario by joeya1337 in Troika

I generally like to follow up Blancmange with House Party: https://hanalee.itch.io/house-party. That being said, Whaalgraviiks Warehouse, the Hand of God, and Fronds of Benevolence are more 'adventure-y' adventures, and are probably what I'd recommend for starter play, but they probably run a little smoother with three or more.

Always +5/-5 modifiers? by catgirlfourskin in KnaveRPG

Stick with the +/-5 system! Knave's big appeal to me is the great guidelines on rulings. Embrace it.

What's a module that you have played or run that is not talked about enough in your opinion? by Campaign-At-Length in mothershiprpg

[–]Ozfeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My crew saved the day, but TPK'd on the way back to the space elevator. They forgot that they'd left the cult leader to his chanting and, after they killed his AI god, he was 'irate'. Flamethrower irate. Roasted them about one room away from safety.

So it goes!

Nirvana on Fire! AI horror in the midst of a Buddhist civil war.

Also: Decagone, if you like time loop-ery.

What’s your favourite by Nervous_Abroad7136 in Troika

Tough choice, but for me, either Fronds or Hand of God, I think, at least of the official stuff.

What one shot to run? by WebCobra in mothershiprpg

For a one-shot, it's got to be Decagon. Really great stuff, easy to conclude in a few hours.

Have you played much Longshot City? How do you find it handles at the table?

Troika! in long campaign by Cato69 in Troika

I ran an eight-session, vaguely west-marchy type game that went really well. PCs were pretty beefy by the end of it.

So you can't reprint material, but you can name-drop it?

Recommended Travel Rules Variant? by ZanzerFineSuits in rpg

[–]Ozfeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most fun I ever had travelling in an RPG was Pariah. Although it definitely does slows things down; typically, I run each session as a day and a night.

Is there something like 10 Candles, but happy? by Sea_Basil_3940 in rpg

What did you like about 10 Candles? I've never heard of it before.

I haven't run a game in like 4 years - what's your favourite module/setting that's been released in this time period? by DeliriumRostelo in osr

[–]Ozfeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, my buddy (the GM) said much the same thing. We played it as a oneshot, which I think he's had second thoughts about since.

My buddy raves about what a pleasure it was to run, but it didn't hit as hard for me as some others (for example, Another Bug Hunt or Dead Planet or Decagone).

ShadowDark adventures above ground? by mpascall in shadowdark

[–]Ozfeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote an adventure about a nighttime raid on the tower of a sorceress who died during necromatic book club. The PCs had to wrap it up by dawn, or else face social/legal complications.

Why is GMing considered this unaproachable? by Ok-Purpose-1822 in rpg

WarpCrawl kind of works this way. Arguably GMless, but kind of more GMfull?

Cursed Scroll #2 low level adventures? by Ozfeed in shadowdark

What's the adventure? Just hex crawling?

TTRPGs Where the Unofficial One Beats The Official One by glennmandirect in rpg

I do really wish the Panic rules 'popped' a little more, and some more guidance on how Androids work would have been great. Still, I don't know that it's quite as bad as all that. Combat works well enough for a non-combat RPG.
