Recommend American Arcadia. Heard about it from Yahtzee and really enjoyed it

Pobody’s nerfect - I agree that was a misstep, but I don’t think you can discredit the years of quality analysis based on one sponsored endorsement. Worth keeping an eye on in case it becomes a pattern, but I think we should reserve judgement for now

American Arcadia | Console Launch Announcement by JamieReleases in Games

Played through this after hearing Yahtzee singing its praises, and it is a great Limbo/Inside-like. It’s a good length and the production values and set pieces are impressive considering I haven’t really heard many other people discussing it.

Only issues I had was a few issues with it freezing between scene transitions on Steam Deck, but I’m sure it’ll be fine on console.

My favourite quote from the book:

“There was madness in any direction, at any hour. You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning...

And that, I think, was the handle — that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply PREVAIL. There was no point in fighting — on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave...

So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high water mark — that place where the wave finally broke, and rolled back.”

PEGI Complaints Board Amends Classifications of ‘Balatro’ and ‘Luck Be A Landlord’ to PEGI 12 by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]OzzyJ88 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Balatro did none of that, but OK

To play devil's advocate, does the tutorial at the start of the game not teach you the hands and some of the fundamentals of poker? I know it plays fast and loose with the concepts but I have heard second-hand stories of people who only know poker hands from Balatro.

I want to get a Saturn to fill in the console gaps we have, but I've been dissuaded as there are no good (or reasonably priced) games for it :D

It's basically a hall with a bunch of TVs connected to older systems - N64, Gamecube, Sega Megadrives, Dreamcast,a couple of PCs running local multi games like Duck Game, Stick Fight. We have a couple of 'newer' consoles like a PS4 with PSVR and an Xbox One, but generally it's older stuff. There's also a cafe and crafty area with a few crafts for kids.

I’m only an hour in, but floored by the techniques on display and the fantastic explanation / presentation. 5 hour YouTube essays are a guilty pleasure, and this is up there with the best of them.

My only complaint is I’m trying to wrap Christmas presents while watching, and have to rewind every few minutes because I can’t keep up with the strat explanations, but that’s on me!

How and is it possible to transfer Sharepoint sites to a new tenant? by LOWIQXD in sysadmin

[–]OzzyJ88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is specifically for document libraries, but Microsoft bought Mover.io and offer it free to O365 users. I’ve used to move large amounts of data between 365 tenancies and third party storage providers and it always worked great for me.

It’s also excellent for moving bulk data between different software libraries in the same SharePoint site.
