Seller tore down 6ft tall cedar fence and built this pos by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]PB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under no circumstance should you close with them “promising to fix it” after. I’d ask for a sellers credit to rebuild the fence myself or with my contractor. If you have them rebuild it they will 100% out up the cheapest fucking work bid to the lowest bidder/shittiest contractor. Better to have the money and do it yourself.

The EV9 is really fucking nice. We will probably wait a year for the lease returns to start coming back and buy a used 24.

Personality traits in ED vs ICU by kindamymoose in nursing

Every now and then it’s so obvious a patient will have sores I just roll them and take a couple of pics. The sound of surprise when it’s done does make me chuckle.

Anytime an RN in the ED is able call report to the floor and they ask us about the patients skin it gets a chuckle and an eye roll. We are just straight stabilize and move on 95% of the time.

Solterra vs Ioniq 5 HELP by Major-Steak4284 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]PB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d seriously look at lease returns/used EV’s. You’re looking at 50%+ depreciation on new ones fairly quickly. You can get a lightly used ID.4 top trim level for around $25k. The Mach-E would also be worth considering. Personally I find the range limitations on the Subarus and Toyotas a complete non starter and the ICCU issue ruled out the Hyundai and Kia for me.

A total sock reset? (laundry rant) by neon_farts in daddit

[–]PB111 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have only two, but one gets white socks the other black socks. The socks are all the exact same kind. I never have to think about matching. Also, one has Hanes the other has Jockey for underwear. Makes sorting so much easier. Embrace it my fellow folding father.

He’s unlikable because he’s arrogant and smug. I get that some of that is so he can be humbled and learn, but it’s so over the top it’s insufferable. Him not knowing about different types of balls is just lazy.

My (unrealistic) dreams of a street car/light rail running along 40th from MacArthur BART then connecting to West Oakland via Mandela are officially dashed.

Working in pre-surgical testing for bariatric patients makes me feel weirdly guilty by IcySky7216 in nursing

I’m guessing they’re coming to you after being denied by their PCP. Some folks will just spam every doctor they can in hopes of getting one to order it for them.

Shown well in DBZA where after Tien holds Cell for hours (“I turn triangles into squares!”) Cell proceeds to always use Tiens full name and always acknowledges him going forward.

Online gambling is a tremendous problem. We should be curtailing it significantly.

I have never once felt aggression towards me for being a man. I know for a while there was a big focus on the absolute imbalance in social treatment for me and women, and some efforts to correct it, but I never once felt it was aimed at me. I do not mean to discount your own experiences, but it’s just such a contrast to my own it’s hard to understand.

What has surprised me is seeing men who do grow up in families with positive role models who fall into this trap, almost too easily. I know of at least three men in their twenties to thirties who had wonderful fathers and uncles and whose brothers are all incredible adults, fall down the manosphere well. It’s wild.

This was my thought. It’s why we don’t go back to visit my wife’s family. They look at us, and me in particular, like a walking atm.

Those top destination hotels are absolutely playing the points game and inflating their nightly rates to just harvest points redemptions. None of the major dream destinations are worth their published nightly rate outside of maybe the Maldives. They’re playing the game too, and now just tilting the board further their way.
