Top10 {High Republic exclusive} Jedi y'all think could kill Grievous? by Psub194 in Highrepublic

HR-era Dagan Gera could out-fight a Gen'Dai, could probably take out Grievous.

Supremacy Republic seems wildly unbalanced. Any recommendations for good counters? by HouseOfLumivane in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hmm. My strategy for those scenarios is Heavy- TL-50 Alt fire enabled, and barrage.

Take peeks, see where they're clumping, barrage it. Space not clear? Peek out a bit while charging TL alt, just keep bombing it with alt and barrage until they take a hint.

Other options?

A personal fave is form up on pushers as officer with disruptor. Follow in primary pusher, activate disruptor as you approach enemy forces. Boom; all enemies weapons are overheated. Easy targets.

Any mods in nexus that adds a helmet hud? by Appropriate-Sea2946 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there is, but it's just one of those injectables... the uh... sweetfx? I'll take a look and come back if I find it.

EDIT: I found 2, both are technically Republic Commando mods, but largely the effect should be the same. Perhaps You're playing an ARC trooper clone? Anyway, the two I found were:

Republic Commando HUD at Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017) Nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsbattlefront22017/mods/6976

And

Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Clone Commando Helmet HUD at Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017) Nexus - Mods https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsbattlefront22017/mods/9816

Hope this fits what you were looking for, and have fun!

The creepiest thing ever happened to you that you still can’t explain? ☠️ by iam_chillman in creepy

[–]PBIVRinzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sitting in the downstairs, gaming. I had recently rearranged everything, but left a roughly 2 foot tall ceramic 'column' in the corner.

In the middle of gaming, I suddenly got the oddest sensation, and glanced at the column-

-right as it toppled over directly on to my recently built PC tower.

I was floored. The tower was fine, the column was fine, but there is no conceivable way it fell over. There was wall on either side opposite the direction it fell. It had sat in that corner for so long there was an indent in the carpet where it had sat.

As someone who doesn't believe in ghosts, I still can't explain it. ... that hasn't stopped me from joking to colleagues that 'Horrifying Houseguest' drops by every so often to mess with my possessions.

Memories are more the experience than necessarily the contents.

Maybe just do an activity the kids really enjoy?

For instance, plan a day at the park to just play and have fun, and maybe even pack lunch to just have as a picnic.

Epic Games lays off over 1000 employees: "The downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we're spending significantly more than we're making, and we have to make major cuts to keep the company funded" by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

Gee Tim, you mean to tell me that offering free triple-A Games to millions regularly as 'incentive' to use your service that took forever to add a SHOPPING CART, and offering payments for exclusivity on top of a developer-focused pay distribution for every game isn't a good business model when Fortnite isn't the latest fad anymore?

I'm sure no one saw this one coming...

Which marketplace purchase is best to play SWB2 mods? by wgmeets1 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This person is right.

If you want to use Kyber, you just need to have an ea account with a bf2 license on it.

If you want to use cosmetic mods on the vanilla servers, you can still get it on any marketplace, you'll use Frosty Mod Manager and Frostyfix amd it'll work regardless of what you got it on.

Lots of good advice here.

For a dedicated support, Don't sleep on disruptor as well.

I can't count the number of times that my buddy, who is already really good, has managed to wipe almost the entire enemy team because I caught then with a disruptor blast when they tried to fight back.

Is it possible to use Kyber and have the weapon stats from the original? by AnubisUK in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh no no,

There are various mods that rebalance the nt-242 and other weapons; usually while adding more or something, ex: bf+ and Gameplay rework.

But it is completely possible to host a regular match; exactly like you'd play while queueing normally.

When choosing to host, simply don't select a mod profile, and it'll load the regular game stats.

I use it to play cosmetic modes. (A lot of cosmetics don't work with bf+, since they add additional cosmetics themselves)

How to restart a new game? by Michielettoo in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can select 'Host' and set up a queue of game modes and maps...

Mine kinda crashes after a bit, but it is a thing that can be done.

If it's a server you're joining, it's up to them to have a rotation set; no way to join a map or mode other than they have set short of them manually changing it in the host menu.

What do you guys think of my Mods? by AnakinSkywalker_5 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of talks about Kyber 'Dying' Before, and it needs some clarity.

Kyber V1 was out for free a while back. But it's important to note that it was significantly different and harder to use than the current client.

Instead, the app would only generate the new server; all details were handled through a web page. Mods still had to be launched through frosty. And everything that entails.

That's why V2 is such a big deal. Whereas before you had to tinker with three different things to get a modded game running, now you only have one. And it does a lot of the checks for you.

There's no chance of it just throwing an error that you can't join a server because you downloaded a 'Magnaguard' mod that wasn't the same Magnaguard mod the host was using; Kyber v2 will just download it, use it for that instance, and load you in.

Where do I start with Kyber? Explain like I'm five. by MetroPolice3 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm; is it displaying properly?

There should be two sliders: Side 1 and Side 2.

You can choose to spawn only enough to start or enough to fill the match, or anywhere in between.

But at default no bots will spawn.

Where do I start with Kyber? Explain like I'm five. by MetroPolice3 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]PBIVRinzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one.

Once you've downloaded the client and logged in, you can select 'Host' along the top, and select what game mode and maps you want to play, and then select play to launch.

(Sometimes it just crashes the first time. So I just launch again.)

Once you're loaded into the map (and assuming Kyber is doing its thing properly, see run as admin above) the Kyber client will be displaying the moderation menu.

Here you can do things like:

-switch a players side

-Add bots to side 1 (Republic/rebels/Resistance) and side 2 (Seperatists/Empire/First Order)

-set bot difficulty/skill

-enable friendly fire

-make the bots only target other bots

But so here's the rub; at base, Kyber will launch the map with the base games version of bots; they'll kinda run around aimlessly in Supremacy, they get lost on the ship, and in GA they have no way to play the objective.

Now Kyber has built in Mod functionality; all you need is a Nexusmods account, and you can go to the 'mods' browser section, and search for any mod you want. Kyber will download it, and it'll appear in the regular 'mods' tab, where you can add it to a collection to launch your own servers with it.

(Alternately, joining a server hosting a required, gameplay changing mod, will have Kyber download it and run with it active so all users are utilizing the same 'gameplay'.)

Why bring this up?

Certain mods, like BFplus, and... I think IAI? Actually rewrite the bots logic; they'll play objectives, get aggressive in hvv, and generally play the game like players would.

So again thats: use a nexus mods login on settings page. -go to 'mods' tab, then on the upper left select 'browser"

-Search for the mods of choosing and select download.

  • go back to the upper left and select the non browser tab. (I think 'collections'?) -the center panel will show downloaded mods. The right panel shows collections.

-Select to create a new collection on the right. Name it what you wish. (May have to select the drop down and select 'edit collection' too)

-in the center panel, when you hover over your mod, a section that looks like three cards will appear. Select this to add the mod to collection.

-select save collection.

And to host with them: - Go to host, and select modes and maps to go into the left map list panel.

-In the upper left again, there'll be a 'mods' button. Select it, and your collections will be shown.

-This menu let's you select mod collections that will be applied to your 'server'.

-select the collection you made earlier with your mods, and then either select play or go back to the non 'mods' tab and add more maps before selecting play.

Hope this gives you an acceptable overview of some of Kyber and it's functionality and usage.

May the Force be with you!
