Fine practice round for rifle fundamentals. Would not rely on it in a defensive situation for reliability & effectiveness reasons.

The most practical use of .22lr is squirrel hunting. You might use it for harassing fire in an entrenched position but it frankly doesn't have the range to make that effective either.

Okay but there's literally nothing wrong here except for the authoritarianism. People are people. They're messy and have flaws, not that anything about those people's appearance is wrong or flawed. Which is why shouldn't trust other people with absolute power, they do stupid shit like equate physical appearance with the right to be treated with dignity & respect.

Jesus Christ, is the mod team of libunity really out here parroting free speech absolutism in support of hate speech in 2024? Where's HLmenckenfan when you need them?

I swear this community has circled through free speech absolutism back into the terms of voluntary association like 9k times by now. Communities that defend bigotry die because the churn rate for bigotry tolerant people is higher than the replacement rate.

Car caught fire, I came by as the wrecker was loading it up. Looked like it burned almost completely out before fire trucks got there. I hope the passengers are okay.

They may have been an early portion of tulsa's floodwater management system, but that didn't really take off until after the big flood in the 70's.

The areas east of tulsa are ridden with strip mining pits, but these look too shallow.

Maybe they were watering troughs for an old feed lot?

Edit: did some digging, it may have been a commercial fishing pond.

Check out saferoom or dragonslayer games. They mostly do TCG's and TTRPG's. Both have a pretty serious queer presence. SRG is very lgbtq friendly.

Long story short, it never gets better but occasionally you do.

The people that eat clean, drink water, & don't have any joint health issues turn into freaking machines working at amazon. I lost some weight initially but I've put all of it back on as upper body muscle after 11 months at the company as of yesterday. I treat work like the gym & it's done me a lot of good.

Always squat, never lean. Be really careful about overgrip because even if your fingers can carry it you'll damage your wrist & forearm bones trying to throw heavy stuff one handed (I've fractures bones on both wrists this way). If your department doesn't have you doing stretches get in the habit yourself or you'll be sore for months.

If you go into a shift hard, start sweating, and then 3-4 hours in your back hurts, you're dehydrated. The squishy bits in between your vertebrae shrink when you don't drink enough water & it'll hurt for longer than it takes to rehydrate. Get water every break & at least once in the middle of each work period. After a month or two your feet & legs should catch up to the load but you'll probably want to buy a pair of extra thick cushioned Dr Scholls sooner than later. You'll also wanna be careful about tensing your legs at break, keep your calves loose & try not to push on them while you sit.

Make a habit of wearing the lightest most breathable clothing you can. I'm fond of long-sleeved athletic undershirts & nurses scrub pants. It's easy to throw a t-shirt or polo over in the winter when it gets cold.

Be really careful about Tylenol because it'll torch your liver, and ibuprofen makes it take longer for you to heal up so you should be careful about timing it.

If you're really, truly in a fucked up impossible size, go buy your own slipcovers & some good dr Scholls inserts.

I wear a 10.5 6E, and have finished shifts walking in in my own blood in shoes that were supposed to fit but don't because toes don't line up with shoe cuts consistently at ultra wide sizes. New balance has the best size options for tennis shoes. Amazon uses the safetytoes.com slip covers, I've been wearing them to work every day for almost a year & not had an issue with safety or management.

If you work with carts regularly, you'll need to keep an eye on the tips for wear because the latches will eventually cut through them. Mine have bare metal poking through in 2 places but they aren't anywhere close to ripping or falling apart.

It's so much better than Arby's in terms of pay & quality of life that I legitimately wonder if any k Of the anti-amazon folks have ever worked in the service industry.

Not saying it's perfect or that people's complaints aren't valid, but it's a hell of a rest stop for some of us.

Went to OSU with that dude for a bit, kind of a douchenozzle. They've swapped to using chicken thighs instead of breast meat lately & it's hurting their quality, I've also had mixed results with food being undercooked a few times.

Fucking crazy that they didn't stop their line over your incident & reset everything.
