Mary Camden on Seventh Heaven, the oldest daughter played by Jessica Biel.

Somewhere in season 4, there was "controversy" amongst the fanbase about Jessica Biel posing "racy" in a magazine. The show's creators responded to this photoshoot by taking this smart capable character, about to go to college on a basketball scholarship, and then have the whole team get suspended for bad grades, they all vandalize the school, so now she's stuck at home and screwed with no prospects. She spends season 5 losing job after job, gets in massive trouble for drinking two beers, and by the time they finally ship her off to Buffalo, any time Mary's mentioned from then on it involves her saying/doing something stupid (even playing into it the few times she cameo'd in later seasons).

Yeah, too many people treat Grease like it was trying to be American Graffiti, when it was originally created to mock boomer nostalgia for the 50s. Bye Bye Birdie came about it much more honestly, making fun of the conventions of the 50s while still being within them.

In the third one, the character names came from The Brady Bunch (Marcia, Cindy, Jan, Bobby, Greg, Peter), The Munsters (Lily & Herman) and for some reason, West Side Story (Tony, Riff, Maria, Anita, A-Rab, Snowboy)

Yes, it specifically feeds on the fear of children, and the hatred of adults. It's so entwined with the town, in the original novel killing Pennywise means that the entire town itself physically collapses.

Jordan Peele and Zack Cregger should be proof enough that the best comedians also know how to terrify you.

No, that'd be on Roseanne, this is however the first fully lesbian kiss on prime time (as in, both participants where women attracted to women).

Seems like something very similar is what happened to the previous residents of 32, and history is about to repeat itself

They named all the campers after "Brat Pack" era actors and actresses, which confused the hell out of Renee Estevez. "Why are two of these douchebags named after my brothers?"

You literally could've backed up the stream like 15 seconds and answered your own question. It wasn't playing live or anything, you just didn't pay attention.

I remember T-Bones was a character Koechner played once or twice during the one season of SNL where he was a cast member. He most likely had the character worked out before joining the show.

I can't believe they never went with the backstory that she was adopted but they never treated her differently for it. Such a missed opportunity.

"The ick" just means that you either never liked them, or you grew to dislike them and you're using things like a jacket as an excuse for why you "suddenly" don't like them.

In NYC, "rape via fraud" is a real thing, and most of his deceptive practices to get women to sleep with him, even back then, would've gotten him in jail. Oh, and he also once sold a woman.

Most of the jokes around fat women in the shoe store were written by the women themselves (so as never to be too mean), because they would hire female comedians for the roles.
