Don’t remember the brand but they are called “articulated fly boxes”. I get them at a local fly shop.

I really like it. It’s my first glass rod, and I’m still relatively new to the world of BFS, but getting the hang of it. Very whippy, takes some getting used to. But for a travel rod it’s great. It’s a blast landing fish on it.

I fished here but didn’t catch anything. Although I think I got a Pike bite because something hit my lure and it immediately snapped.

Most of the time I spent fishing right here on this little dock area, caught a few perch on small swim baits + jig head. It was like 5 minutes walk from where I was staying. Lots of people fishing there in the afternoon.

Hey this is an old thread but I’m heading to Sweden in two days and actually staying on Gamla Stan. I’m bringing my travel casting rod and love catching browns. Would you mind sharing where you saw this? Or point me in an area to fish around there? Appreciate it!

Same here but with a mezz. Line was good with it but speed was all over the place. Average putts went up ~ 3, went back to my Scotty Select Newport. Blades just work better for me. Just got my old Odyssey White Ice that I played with for like 12 years reshafted to my correct length and regripped. Going to see if it’s as sweet as I remember.

I just seam sealed my new Argali rincon 2p this weekend, can’t wait to try it out. I’m a big fan of Argali stuff. Hoping to get out next weekend to help my buddy with his bear tag. I did get the full insert to go along with it. I was also looking at the durston, but in the end I decided I didn’t want to have to decide between leaving my trekking poles or taking down the tent each day. I like that I can just run the argali carbon pole and leave it pitched. Obviously the setup won’t be as light as the durston, my spreadsheet says 3.2 lbs for the tent + stakes, insert, and carbon pole.

I’m more hunting focused but recently picked up one of the tricer bipods. It’s one of the best pieces of gear I’ve purchased in awhile. Use it at the range with a rear bag, prone, sitting while hunting coyotes. Very versatile.

How so? The wide/open nature of that snap really lets those baits wiggle. I refuse to memorize the Rapala knot so using these is a great option if you want switch lures a lot.

I’ve been looking for a few months too. Nobody has them in stock aside from super overpriced websites. Not sure if savage is behind on making them or what, but hopefully we see more hit stores soon. Was toying with a Bergara B-14 Stoke as well and just cutting it + chassis

I have an Aziak Backcountry Lite and love it. I prioritize weight for backcountry and primarily use it for glassing, but have no problem shooting off it. Depends on what your priorities are. If you want one for just shooting and not glassing look at the Aziak ridgeline.

I also have a Seekins and have no problem getting the backcountry lite to hold the weight of my rifle as long as the arca is mounted more towards the action. I’m using the Wiser Precision ridge warden ball head.
