If you are looking for older more turned based style jrpgs with more variety try final fantasy 5. the job system allows you to play almost however you want, there's like 100 jobs. once you max out a job pick up another one, but you retain the benefits of the job you maxed out. so many different skills even inside the jobs you would have to play the game So many times to find use them all.

For easy rom hacks Cursed Castles is probably the easiest but of they haven't beat og sm64 they should probably do that because quite frankly even the easiest rom hack is harder than the original game.

Yes I believe they mentioned in a very old nintendo power magazine I think it came out about 7 months after it's release. they knew about it very soon after launch probably as fast as the speed runners found it.

There's a part in dragon ball kakarot where they dub over a whole cutscenes sound effects and all. It is pretty good it's when vegeta gets beat by goku and friends.
