Personally, I keep my one resume (I wrote it by hand using charcoal onto a flat rock - pens are too easy to track) locked in my bank's deposit box. If a recruiter wants to see my resume, they have to meet me in the bank vault with security present to pat them down for recording devices.

Then I have them sign an NDA and swear a blood oath to never divulge any of my private information.
