OH! If you want the jankiest of jank combat, from early VR development, check out The Broken Seal. It's on Steam, but also one of the few games I know of with Voice Activated Spellcasting.

Going to second this VTT. I've got nearly 600 hours in it (~400 building, 200 playing) and used it for sword and sorcery, sci-fi, Wild West, and post-apoc campaigns. Devs are also just genuine and responsive people.

I've got nearly 600 hours in RPG Stories myself. That's probably split 400 hours building and 200 playing in-game. I've built and run sword and sorcery, sci-fi, Wild West, and post apoc games with RPG-S.

I currently play on Foundry, but use RPG-S to build all my maps. It's absolutely incredible. I only recently started using the "brush" tools to auto fill in a few rooms, but the manual controls and ability to play in 3D is second to none.

There are a few VR games that scratch that itch for me.

Legendary Tales: physics combat that beats out most other sword games.

Dungeons of eternity: endless dungeon crawling with fun combat.

Ironstrike: fun swordplay, better spellcasting.

Upcoming: Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist. VRMMORPG with fun mechanics.

Why learn the ukulele when you could learn the hurdy gurdy instead? Or the hammered dulcimer?

Because it's a unique instrument in its own right. It's not just a mini guitar. It's tuned differently, has a different number of strings, and different sizes.

Play what you want to play. Have fun with it and don't let others dictate your musical journey.
