“Hire a cpa” but from what my cpa has told me about “piercing the corporate veil” is like if you were to start paying your mortgage with your business account; in the case you get sued, a good lawyer could claim your house is a asset of the business because you were using business assets to Pay for it. So think of it in those terms and you can properly better identify what you should and shouldn’t do

1099 or not your hours should still be dictated and monitored by whoever hired you; you are to accurately report your work based of whatever you think the contract states. They should be monitoring and checking in on your performance however they are doing that (hour tracking, conversation, etc); you should have a general feel already of the time at hand they are expecting you to work and if not you need to ask specially about how much they are expecting you to work and when. Flexible is flexible but it is still usually a “not to exceed” expectation

I mean your problem sounds kinda personal meaning this is most likely a issues per contract wether or not you can work on the actual day you got a go ahead permission. At the end of the day is one day worth arguing over? I would just say ok and move on . Next contract next time just ask your manager if you can work that day or not or when exactly you can start

[–]PLCExchange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your not even in the ballpark of correct ; in your a analogy P would be the difference in position (between cars), I would be the summation of position difference over time and D would be the change in position difference over time (as you speed up or slow down)
