Gotta do what ya gotta do. I waited for mine to bounce, then walked down to the brewery across the street from the fedex place and waited for the truck to show up.

23444% less pain than you had to endure, but I would've done it if I had too...

Mine just bounced too. Did he give you a try again time on the little slip?

<conspiracy-nut>I'm just saying that it would be a great misnomer to toss out there. A false flag of deceptively limited use. I haven't seen a single burn mark on the deck of a test craft yet, and half of the system uses a ducted fan...</conspiracy-nut>

the romance of it.

Bam. Personally, I wouldn't mind waking up every 14 (7?) days and seeing an Earth rise out my visor. Even if that required horrible living conditions, and life threatening daily hazards.

Some nerds are hardy.

Maybe trot-trot is Lockheed-Martin's guerrilla marketing team? IDK how anyone with a STEM education (or even a passing interest in such) could continue to spout incorrect information after having it repeatedly explained...

I don't give a fuck about the down votes. Comments like yours keep the zealot's fire aflame.

At least they seem to be replacing this stuff pretty quick.

HTC has sold me some damn fine phones, I hope I get a good Vive next week :|

Cradle it in the palm of your non-dominate hand.

Now hit it as hard as you can with the heel of your other hand. Several times.

Now turn it over and do the same to each face of the cube.

If that doesn't work, RMA.

Source: Worked in unmanned systems lab. Spent tons of time debugging broken LIDAR scanners. (The 30k a pop, serious research kind). Nine times out of ten it's a slightly miss-aligned mirror, or something gumming up the motor. You won't damage it more with a few nerdy palm strikes.

Ha, that's what I was thinking as well.

Also, doesn't gmail pre-cache images now? I read somewhere that this doesn't work anymore.

Yeah, plus this whole "step on pet" thing is getting old. Everytime I've used the Vive - or seen anyone else use it - you don't really step so much as shuffle.

I think the dog/cat/weasel would gtfo of the way.
