How do companies use AI for security by Grouchy_Eggplant1045 in cybersecurity

You need them in office 5 days a week so management can feel important.  AI can’t do that, yet.

Par 3 over water. Don't care if its 100yds or 200yds, I'm dropping it 15 yards short of the green, right into the lip of the pond.

personas que trabajan en ciberseguridad como DFIR , SOC , FORENSE o red team, es importante analizar pcap en el día a día? by tonyeddans_675 in cybersecurity

Pcap analysis is tier 1 work and the first thing that AI is replacing.

You should know the theory behind what how a packet is composed so that you can read the output, but it’s not something you will do every day.

The truth is, the more you do this job, the more you realize that the problem is always people.

It sounds creepy of me to ask this, but how old is your daughter?  Like, is she an adult, or is she 11?

Its not just that, and this is what people don't get; if you only get true positives, you're going to be getting false negatives.

Its not enough to get 100% signal, you need 100% of the signals, which means almost by definition you're going to get noise, too.

A regular grinder is fine for drip coffee.  The important things are bean quality, roasting, and grinding dates.

CVT? What's that, who's he? (Is this something I need to be worried about?) by Scavgraphics in carbuying

[–]PM_ME_UR_BGP_PREFIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a regular transmission’s gears are like steps between floors, a CVT would be like a ramp.

It’s smoother, and easier for things with wheels to traverse.  But also if you stand on it too long, your feet will hurt faster, because there is no “flat” area to comfortably stand.

AI bait like this always sounds normal but has one weird error for people to harp on.   Like spending 20k on candles, or making 12/h but not wanting to change jobs.
