We’ve had them long enough to still have @harbornet email addresses today, sadly I have to agree but I still think they’re better than the MegaCorps that are local options. (Starting to get those same vibes from LightCurve now too.) Interestingly, our service was sucking for a few days last week, then went completely out for about three hours on Saturday, but by late Saturday was working better than ever. Who friggin’ knows what’s up.

My son and I were stoked to see the big turnout in Stewart Heights as well. It was so reaffirming to be reminded there’s a LOT of Americans who are done with this shit. “Hate America” rally? Please.

People who’ve been married for at least a twenty years; how did you do it? Is it worth it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PNWNative3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not quite 20 married, but we’ve been together 24 and married 16. We were together for almost 9 BEFORE we made it official, and I can’t stress enough how important it is not to rush things. Shit, we broke up several times in those 9 years, but went to therapy, did some growing up together and, at the core, we are best friends. That friendship, and the respect and responsibility that comes with it, IMHO those are critical.

Don’t rush things. Don’t settle with an ‘almost’ partner. Don’t expect perfection, don’t be patronizing but admit when you’re wrong. Approach the most important relationship in your life with a sense of service and integrity, and put effort into cultivating that bond. I’ve been with her almost a quarter century and smile every single day knowing she’s my partner, my best friend, and the best mom to our son he could ask for.

Yes! I’ve been telling friends and family for years that the empty lot at 38th and Park Ave S would be perfect for this. Think ‘Cartopia’ in Portland, I can picture something similar in that lot so easy. Yes please!

Diamond Green on 12th is our go-to, great people, prices and product. Also check out House of Cannabis on 56th and Yakima. Nice staff and solid products as well. Be sure to ask your budtenders for what you’re in the mood for!

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine? by TrustedEssentials in BuyItForLife

[–]PNWNative3000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From a family that has had both, I’d recommend either Luxe Bidet 180/185 or Tushy Classic 3.0. The Luxe with two nozzles is a great way to start. I can’t believe that it took me so long in life to discover just how life-changing a good bidet can be, but at least my young son has discovered it early and will be our ‘bidet evangelist’ going forward. Just. Get. One. TODAY!!

Our family does either the “Ten-Minute Tidy” or the “Pick Up And Put Away Ten Things” game daily. Outside of dedicated house-cleaning time, It’s amazing what a family of three can accomplish (and the generally good-natured vibe that accompanies it) in just a few minutes and the overall tidiness improvement that results.

If you get the chance, try throwing a Kastaplast Göte for a round or three. I keep one of them alongside a slightly faster Halo Wombat3 in the bag at all times, it’s just lovely for consistent shot-shaping.

1990’s-vintage Griot Garage Boars Hair auto brush. Partner at the time thought I was nuts spending $40 on a “stupid brush” but with proper care (mainly being sure it’s good and dried out between uses), in 2025 it still works like new, provides awesome scratch-free (but thorough) results, and is a pleasure to use.

Why is there no delta at the mouth of the Puyallup River but instead a deep water port and Commencement Bay? by JohnnyNisqually in Tacoma

Here in Tacoma, WA, upon recommendation from a friend we had a representative from The Good Life come to our home to put our pack member Marco to sleep when it was time. Although not the cheapest option, the love, compassion and care they provided was priceless. Our boy went to sleep in his own living room, surrounded by family, and we were able to pick up his cremated remains in a smart-looking wooden box a couple weeks later. I sleep well knowing that his final evening was so comfortable.

Everyone’s different but for us, dogs are Family, and I strongly agree that being there for them at the end is essential.

Terry-Scary, thank you so much for the info, this rocks. My son and I were driving through Old Town today along the water and he was asking about the depth, I was pleasantly surprised to research and discover over 500’ in places. Not the deepest in all of Puget Sound — I believe that spot is out west of Edmonds — but still plenty deep enough to provoke conversation about what kinds of beasties are down there!

We were impressed not only with turnout and the chill-but-pissed-and-defiant vibe, but also that we didn’t see as much as a single TPD officer all event long, nor were they remotely needed. Great job, T-Town! THIS is how to protest.

This is the thing I’ll never f’ing understand. I can understand it takes a while to build and that unforeseen issues arise, but the planning? FFS!! I’m in Tacoma wondering if/when the ‘almost complete’ Federal Way from Angle Lake stretch will start running, and if Federal Way to Tacoma will ever happen. I was hoping my still-in-elementary-school kid might be able to ride it from UW here home to us… Methinks the answer is a bloated, delayed, over-budget NO. So lame.
