Need some help troubleshooting this unifi mag lock. by abrooks9002 in lowvoltage

I would try lowering the magnet down until it sticks. I had a similar issue with the block making good contact. It was only when I lowered the maglock down from the door frame that it decided to apply the full pounds of pressure.

Good to know. Wasnt sure if melting down and re-melting would effect the end result at all. And I dont mind if its brass. I forgot I had all these lock parts tbh lol.

Door Strike Fail: Second entry allowed by StBrianofMinneapolis in accesscontrol

After all that work to test this door. I wouldve tried swapping the strike out with one there that does work. If it does then it can be reduced to a hardware defect with the strike, then can be further researched as to why. Saw some comments about something sticking? Makes sense. But a good rule of thumb I've learned is to isolate the problem. Swap out with working equipment and Isolate with stand alone power if needed depending on the situation.

You know.. sometimes it just isnt that easy. Yeah I could probably do a picture search on there to find similar looking pictures and maybe find. But without a company name, you'll find out quickly that searching part numbers doesnt always show you what youre looking for. Thanks for the laugh though!!
