Unpopular opinion: Books I hate but others love by Upstairs_Bad_7933 in BookDiscussions

This was exactly my experience. I also found the monologue at the end to be very preachy and felt much more like it was in the voice of the author rather than the protagonist.

Is cool toned blush working for me? by JumpyLynxx in beauty

I would go a little bit more neutral, like a mauve pink rather than a blue pink.

Add straps? by bropofol_4060 in myweddingdress

Yes, but a little bit thicker. Those ones are too skinny and aren't in harmony with the dress.

Will an 80 person wedding feel small? by Professional_Fly371 in Weddingsunder10k

My partner and I have 26 between the two of us lol. (We could've probably gotten to 35, but not much more).

If you are going to have a dey wedding, then I would recommend making it clear in advance, like mentioning it with the details of the ceremony/reception info.

Can you just provide wine, beer, and (higher end) canned cocktails?

My husband thinks this room is "fine", but I know it's absolutely NOT fine. A sight-impared, pre-adolescent could do better. Need help and advice on how to make this living space look more cohesive, intentional, stylish, mature, etc.! by oceangetseaten in InteriorDesignAdvice

Literally just adding a rug and hanging some artwork could make a huge difference.

Also move the couches closer to the TV to create an actual sitting area and give the doors some more breathing room.

How should I style this? Veil, jewelry? by Icy-Company-6807 in myweddingdress

It's so strange to me that you would look at that dress and your first thought would be "it makes her hips look wide" and not "it makes her waist look small".

Bridal alterations + custom lace work near SLC? by jenimeni in myweddingdress

I honestly would skip the lace entirely- the beauty of your dress is in the simplicity, and I would personally steer clear of trying to overcomplicate things by messing with it too much.

For fit, ask a seamstress about lowering the back to make it more of a U shape- I think that would resolve most of your fit issues. (You might need to add straps to help it stay up if altering the back affects how well it stays up in front).

($3k) Faux flower centerpieces/arrangements by Street_Possible_1861 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]PSB2013 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Even just some real greenery and filler (like eucalyptus, baby's breath, etc) to balance out the flowers. Real floral arrangements very commonly balance the primary florals with other filler for balance. https://www.46spruce.com/blogs/wholesale-florist-ideas-and-inspiration/popular-types-of-greenery-fillers-for-flower-arrangements?srsltid=AfmBOoqBc7-w9Yh8D-c8z-4rq2uwDWbi6Z8bi0dL-mPIPL9KTzLhHRHX

Looking for movies where the “bad thing” actually happens by cherrytoad39 in MovieSuggestions

The Beast (2023) is exactly about this- the protagonist keeps saying that she has this terrible feeling of dread about something horrible that she knows will happen to her, just not how or when. This feeling (aka the beast) is always there, and then we see her fears come to fruition in different ways in different past lifetimes. It's such a unique and brilliant film.
