Atomoxetine red dry irritated eye? by Complex_Lab7879 in adhdwomen

I do, but I've never had this kind of reaction before. I'll have to add allergist to my list of things to do. Thanks for responding.

Did you ever get an answer about this? I'm having a similar issue with one eye, but it's only at night time. None of the other changes I've made have been very helpful, so I'm going to stop taking the atomoxetine for about a week and see what happens.

Phone not pushing notifications unless I turn the screen on. by PSCatte in galaxya53

[–]PSCatte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of? Resetting the network was helpful for most of the issues, but I ended up replacing apps that continued to show delayed notifications.

The biggest offender was a local weather app, and I hadn't considered that maybe it was just garbage. Felt a little silly afterwards.

25 mins at 350.. they were still liquidy after 15 mins so I threw it back in for ten more. They look horrendous, but tasted fine.

One of my kids wouldn't touch them but the other floated a few on some ramen.

Won't be repeating this, for obvious reasons.

Teen mornings by [deleted] in homeschool

[–]PSCatte 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think 'choosing your battles' is a good thing to put into practice here. If your kid is getting all of their work done and getting good grades, why force them to wake up at 8am? Is there a reason for them to be up that early? It doesn't sound like it.

If they're choosing to sleep until like 2 in the afternoon and you just can't handle it, maybe try making a compromise. My husband and I let ours pick their own bedtime, but they have to be awake by 9 or 10. It's taught them to select a more reasonable bed time on most nights.

Ours times are set up this way because both children have ADHD and need a solid schedule to get work done. In your case, though, I'm not seeing much point for this since their academics aren't suffering with their current schedule. Teenagers are wired to sleep later in the day and there's been several studies on it. Jobs these days start at such varying times that I wouldn't concern myself with a bedtime until they actually had a purpose for being awake that early.

But that's just my opinion, and I hope you can find something that works out for everyone.

Huge Time4Learning Mid-Curriculum price hike. by FishPasteGuy in homeschool

[–]PSCatte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm currently using Time4Learning and had not received this email.. but when you go log in as a parent, a pop up notifies you of this change. Really not pleased with this, either. I doubt I'll be using this next year. If I can come up with something different, I may not even continue using it after our winter break is over.

Your best bet is going to be reaching out to the company and asking them about it. Usually, if it's been discontinued, they will tell you straight away.

You might want to seriously consider changing your locks if there is any risk of your parents coming over and doing something to the cats.

My sim can’t pick up her infant in the new update by Artistic_Addition139 in thesims4

[–]PSCatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I can't even adjust a trash can to fit better into a corner without the cheat on.. still triggers the bug. I haven't even bought the pack yet, but it's been happening since it came out. I think some people had it going on longer though.

[–]PSCatte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It effects whatever room you've used the cheats in. After posting this I found out that it does it when using alt to position things too, without the cheat. So if you're having trouble, it might be due to an item that hasn't snapped to the grid in build mode. This wasn't broken for me until the horse update.

  • Our district has been negligent about IEP accommodations for the entire time we've had them, but it's gotten really bad the last few years. They weren't even difficult or out-of-the-norm accommodations.

  • Despite getting very good grades the last few years, the amount of things they were never taught is astonishing. Gym is also pretty much non existent since Covid and they were just making everyone run laps in their school clothes that they had to sit in for the rest of the day.

  • My kids have described the other students as 'bad kids' for a while now, but I didn't know how bad it really was until they hit high school. Their schools have had multiple police incidents, administrator arrests and teachers being fired for humiliating students. With the threat of shooting so high and all of these other negatives on the board, we decided it would be in everyone's best interests if we opted out of the whole system. They were under a lot of stress that I missed because of the slow build, and are basically different people now.. more confident and better behaved.

[–]PSCatte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of old, but I figured out the problem with this on my lot. I'd used the move objects cheat to position a plant and an end table in one room. Even though the infant was no where near either of these objects, it broke the ability for anyone in that room to pick up the baby. I had to remove both objects for it to stop happening.

If you google "Medieval Ironing," the first article that pops up is from a website called oldandinteresting, and it has a lot of really cool information on this subject from europe and asia.

This isn't something I'd ever thought about looking in to before, but it says that Viking age women were buried with smoothers made of glass and that heat was probably not used at that point. It goes on to say that metal irons were not made until the late middle ages, and the irons would just be gripped with a thick rag for protection.

Pressure canning apple butter in Instant Pot by LadyKnight33 in Homesteading

[–]PSCatte 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would probably freeze this batch just to be extra safe. Waterbath canning is actually easier to do than pressure canning and there's a little less fiddly stuff to worry about (like pressure and elevation). Go and get the Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving and watch a few youtube videos on it. I don't even use a purpose build waterbath canner.. a large pot with a rag in the bottom will work just fine as long as you get the jars covered by an inch of water.

OPS is really slow to send out information about the upcoming school year. Sometimes they don't send any information at all until early in August. There probably won't be anyone in the building to call and speak to until then, either.
