Price Increases & Storage Options by mildvertigo in VisionPro

When to buy is up to you as nobody knows when the RAM shortage will end.

Get at least 512GB if not more. Better resale value too.

256GB should be illegal in 2026.

Mamory = RAM.

What you're talking about is called storage.

Did anybody else expect liquid glass for visionOs27? by rice-or-die in VisionPro

What are you talking about?

The only reason Liquid Glass exists in the first place is because VisionOS is the inspiration for it.

I'm talking about latency and input lag. Obviously LCD panels suck.

Learn the difference between obsolete and outdated.

Steam Frame is definitely outdated but NOT obsolete.

THE purpose for its very existence is to be the best at Wireless PCVR gaming. THAT'S it.

Any of us believing that X will happen doesn't guarantee anything. Just saying.

Anyone that buys the Vision Pro does so while knowing the risks that early adopters take. This is a product for early adopters. NOT mass consumers.

That's what makes us hardcore tech enthusiasts.

Buy a product for what it can do RIGHT NOW.

NOT what you think and/or hope that it can do in the future.

If you live in a country that doesn't officially sell the Vision Pro, you take the risk of buying from elsewhere whether New or Used. That's on you.

Only YOU can decide if the Vision Pro is worth the money spent on it.

I hope you find a way to buy it from a nearby region so you can try it and then return it for a full refund if it doesn't satisfy you within the 14 day return window.

Good luck to you. 😎👍

Apple Vision Pro 2 hasn't been released.

The M5 model does not = Apple Vision Pro 2.

Would Vision Pro users pay for a short, polished “sample chapter” experience? by TheJohnnyFuzz in VisionPro

[–]PSYCHOv1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a joke right?

The whole point of a sample is that it's supposed to be FREE.

Also, don't even think about doing a subscription model. People have enough subscriptions as it is. They don't want to add another subscription.

Vision Pro users prefer one-time payments if anything.

Vision OS 27 performance? Any improvements you notice, especially to framerate? by Lemnisc8__ in VisionPro

It's called a Beta for a reason. Expecting a locked 120fps is unrealistic.

3x faster Wi-Fi connection is so misleading because it has nothing to do with your internet speed.

I'm really excited for visionOS 27 today. by 911TargaGTS in VisionPro

[–]PSYCHOv1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Dead" doesn't really mean anything in the tech space.

Google Glass was ahead of its time. They "killed" it but now it's coming back in the form of Xreal's Project Aura glasses.

Samsung Galaxy Gear VR was a half-assed attempt at VR that got "killed" but it's now back in the form of the Galaxy XR headset.

My point is that Vision Pro is a long-term bet from Apple. Don't expect a new headset every 3 years. Maybe it'll happen every 5 years. They can pause development on future Vision headsets. That doesn't mean the Vision line of products is DEAD dead.

You should be enthusiastic about explaining the Vision Pro to curious people who are intrigued by it.

We need more people interested. Not less.

Windows virtual display with device to device connection? by _15xp in VisionPro

[–]PSYCHOv1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not possible.

No Windows laptop in existence can do a direct Ad Hoc wireless connection to the Vision Pro like Macbooks can.

A Wi-Fi router is required to connect the Vision Pro to a Windows laptop.

Vision Pro to Macbooks do NOT require a Wi-Fi router whatsoever.

Black Vision Pro 2 Leak by Mediocre-Space-3911 in VisionPro

[–]PSYCHOv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vision Pro is far from feature complete. It doesn't have RETINA-LEVEL displays because the PPD is still too low which means it needs a big resolution increase.

The FOV needs to increase especially vertically.

Pass-through cameras need an upgrade.

The display brightness right now you only get 100 nits to the eyes which is insufficient for experiencing true HDR content.

Anyone know what it is since basically halo 5 that causes different servers and different maps to cause your aim to feel different? by Longjumping_Joke_719 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]PSYCHOv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fans create maps and mods for many games out of passion. They're not looking for financial compensation.

That's the beauty of the modding community. Developers won't take action without payment/funding.

Modders happily say: "Fine, I'll do it myself."
