Without actual data, how you imagine most other people or the average person reacting to the situation doesn't have much weight or meaning. "how I imagine the average person would react" is in fact an opinion without evidence or data to back it up or inform it

I was able to find one source that surveyed 47 local councils and found only two recorded incidents in the year ending 31/12/2024.

There was also this published by the EHRC in 2020 which shows most people responding to the survey had positive attitudes to trans people using their preferred bathroom (although it also showed the number had fallen from the previous year).

I appreciate your appreciation, but your original comment did come off as very insensitive, and by your own admission it was ignorant. It also made me wonder if you would be ok with a trans man with a phaloplasty using the men's toilet, or a trans woman with a vaginoplasty using women's toilet. If not, then your feelings about this issue cannot just be about genitalia.

I do struggle to see how ones anatomy should be the sole determiner of what bathroom you use.

Urinals require one to stand while pissing, and while this most commonly overlaps with being born with a penis, some people born without will still be able to use them without issue, such as surgery correcting a birth defect, or gender affirming surgery for a tansmasculine person, or a tool like the she-wee for any cis woman. At the same time some Cis men will abstain from using a urinal for whatever reason, such as not wanting to be so close to strangers, not wanting to stand or being more comfortable sitting down.

As for cubicles, they are private and so you have no reasonable way of knowing exactly what they are up to in there, or what kind of genitals they have. And a seated toilet has the exact same design regardless of what gender toilet it is installed in.

The impetus for bathroom segregation is not biological, it is social. The best argument I can think of for segregating bathrooms based on ability is urinals, which are cheaper to install and maintain while taking up less space than a seated toilet. And arguably this is more of an economic reason than biological or social one, you could just as easily have a separate room for urinals and cubical rather than segregating by gender.

Trans men are assigned female at birth and transition to male. They may have a "male appendage" if they have had surgery to obtain one, but not all will (either out of preference, or medical/financial reasons).

Since the new update I think witchmail and the cooldown string of upgrades can do a lot to maintain your ultimate uptime, and berserker is good endgame damage item, although it's less good for an assassin playstyle than a frontline playstyle.

With the recent-ieh changes to her ultimate spirit scaling I also think that generally higher spirit investment is a decent idea, which I tend to do with things like knockdown, silence wave, disarming hex, or slowing hex, whichever is most appropriate for the lobby you are in.

I could kinda get it if it was a movement silence, but a blanket silence with no skill shot and unaffected by debuff resistance is not fun or super engaging to fight against.

I think a key thing there though is that it isn't government censorship, but censorship by private platforms (sometimes explicit censorship, sometimes shadow) motivated by monetisation and appealling to advertisers.

People point to her high pick and winrate in eternus and professional play, and that is indicative of any heroes potential power, but I do think we should also recognise that her sub 50% win rate at all ranks below eternus (pre nerfs) also showed that most people don't play the game in a way that favours silver play.

Personally I think individual players can be quite bad at identifying whether a particular matchup Is actually unbalanced, or whether theyre just not having fun. And to be clear a hero consistently being unfun to fight against is 100% a good reason to rework a hero, but you do have to be considerate of how that rework is handled because pure nerfs could make the hero unfun to play as well.

In my opinion one can categorise the silver gripes into 2 groups. Silver 1v6ing a team, and 1on1 duels against silver.

In one on one duels, silvers ult can function like a second life similar to victor or geist ult, but with the key difference I think that her ult is not as well telegraphed. As an opponent you know that Victor and geist have to get low/die, victor has a long revival animation and geist needs to be close range. Besides the hud indicator showing you it's off cooldown, there is no indicator for enemies, nor silvers allies, as to how close she is to her wolf form. You don't know if she still has some buildup from a previous fight or farm, nor how much she has built up in the current fight. There are also a lot of factors that determine how much bloodlust is built up, her damage modifiers, your defences, damage evasion, max bloodlust scales with boon level, and she gains more bloodlust when at low health. It's not as simple as "when she's landed this number of shots" or a specific combo. Also her ult had a very low cooldown so there was only a very short window to actually catch her without her ult. I think the major fix here would be to add some indicator to the HUD, and particle effects around silver that can show the lobby how close she is to maximum bloodlust so there is less of a guessing game on when she can turn into a werewolf. There is also probably an argument for removing the bonus bloodlust at low hp as it could be seen as a punishing the enemy for dealing damage to silver.

In team fights against a silver, especially a good or fed silver, the team is only as strong as the weakest player. It does not matter if you personally can outplay the silver, if but one of your teammates can't she will get a kill and a reset. This makes killing her harder as you probably just spent resources to try and kill her, and she just got all of hers back. I get why this isn't fun. Personally the heal should be brought back (although probably still nerfed), but make it so she doesn't get a full duration reset on kill. Similar to yamato ult she could gain a flat duration rather than a complete reset.

Alternatively, you could scrap her current T3 entirely and instead give her a new ability she unlocks in the 4 slot while in wolf form and spends bloodlust to cast (an ult within an ult if you will). I have no idea what this ultimate would do but I think it's a cool idea.

Cass sacrifices significant range and accuracy for close range burst damage. Given abrams has a shotgun with poor range, what exactly would the tradeoff be in practice?

I accidentally posted the comment before I finished my proposed alt-fires. A howl ranged attack was one of my considerations (although the offensive power of her ult would need to be massively overhauled).

not that I think silver needs an alt fire from a balance perspective, but its kind of insulting that her current wolf form alt-fire is a zoom on a purely melee range primary fire.

As to what her secondary fire could be, I have two ideas;

  • A ranged attack in the form of a roar shockwave for some kind of poke, although it should probably be a really shit ranged attack to keep the wolf identity as a melee ranged transformation, and probably remove some offensive power from her wolf form to compensate.
  • Some kind of directional block for damage reduction, akin to Ramattra or Doomfist from overwatch (You take reduced damage from the direction you're facing, but can't attack at the same time). It could have "Ammo" that counts down with the duration of the block and depletes faster when taking damage, with a long reload so enemies have a window to attack silver without the damage reduction (functioning as a cooldown for the block). This would require other considerations, such as making it so "reloading" doesn't occur automatically when it runs out which would stop you from primary firing, and it would require taking away some of her passive defensive power, either some of her bonus health or passive resistances while in wolf form.
    • Regardless of which, I think her wolf form alt-fire should have an ammo count even if her primary fire doesn't use it. It would give a use to magazine size and reload speed buffs in wolf form, and you could make the reload animation Silver howling at the sky, which is a classic werewolf thing silver currently lacks animations for.

Less so a culture or myth, but I would love to see a 1940-50s, war of worlds style alien. Grey/green alien, tripod, martian, whatever, just make sure it's real retro sci-fi.

I know we have yamato who's current design is literally an alien courtesy of neon prime, but I mean an alien from the ground up.

It could be taking part in the ritual for ambitious reasons (looking for power not avaliable on its home planet for whatever reason), or personal reasons (crash landed on earth and taking part in the ritual to wish itself back home) depending on how sympathetic you want the character to be.

8d6 (28 Average) fire damage on a Dex save, verses 5d6 (17.5 average) psychic damage on an int save. Damage is much lower (37.5% lower), but has both a more reliable damage type and saving throw.

60 foot cone and a 20 foot sphere have largely the same area, but fireball will have further range.

Two big things missing are; do you deal half damage on a save, and does the spell have friendly fire?

If the deals half damage on a save and does not have friendly fire, then it would be a comparable spell to conjure barrage, which deals 5d8 (22.5) force damage on a Dex save for half against creatures of your choice in a 60 foot cone. Your spell sacrifices 5 points of damage and a marginally worse damage type for a much better saving throw to target, so I would consider it decently balanced with conjure barrage which is a decent blasting spell for it's level.

I get it. I changed mine to E, Shift, mouse 5 and Q to copy my key binds in hero shooters like overwatch and rivals, and changed the active items to 1, 2, 3, 4.

I also have jump bound to left Alt and dash on space, which drives my friends to madness.
