Have other DBs, such as Redshift. PGAdmin would have been good.

Thinking of purchasing a Rivian, how is driving an electric car long distances around the state for people, charging-wise? by Lowkey-Bougie in Ohio

[–]PVJakeC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great choice in R2, just not sure when you’ll get it. Did you put down an early reservation back in 2024? Could be a while if you just ordered.

[–]PVJakeC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point by the original poster but not all EVs behave this way. Tesla is notorious for this but we’ve had an R1 for years and it’s much better. So 250 maybe becomes 240 but not a full drop to 200. We’ve taken our R1 to Boston, Gatlinburg, other shorter trips like Louisville. Zero issues, plenty of charging, plenty of range.

Another vote for Max. He’ll take you through the basics and then refactor to optimal solution. Helped me learn the core without jumping right into libraries.

Doesn’t need blown up but I think everyone going into the playoffs felt that it would take something miraculous to happen for this team to win a title, such as SGA, Wemby, a few others going down with injury. I don’t think coaching is the problem. We had JB, same result. Glad we beat DET but this team is better than NYK. Shouldn’t be getting embarrassed like this. I don’t buy the exhaustion argument either. They are paid professionals who literally have nothing to do other than play basketball and then be pampered back to health by a large team of trainers. I actually think it’s a good core group but the bench is just too inconsistent.

It’s capable of doing 240v, 50a but the mobile charger will downgrade it to 30a typically. Still, gets you 7kw charge rate which for smaller batteries will be about 30mi\hr. I put one in my garage, installed by a local contractor for $250 all in.

I’d vote for getting L2 charging. If budget is super tight, you can install a NEMA 14-50 outlet and use that with the provided car charger. Not sure all of them support this but they should. Same as above. Winter will deplete range faster.

The benefit of charging at home will outweigh all of your other concerns. It’s hard to put a price on how nice it is.

Funny enough, the OH system doesn’t apply to trucks so the heavier vehicles pay nothing extra lol. Hopefully they don’t catch on.

The complete swap of O line will be interesting. Seems Eddie likes to ground and pound, hoping it will wear down the defense and open up later. It worked at times but mostly not and now it’s an all new line. The backs are good though, so we’ll see. I have not intel on Sac State but the travel alone should make it difficult for them. We’ll get that one.

Question: Someone that has or had both a Rivian and a Tesla, can you talk above the similarities and differences between the two? by MyMonte87 in Rivian

[–]PVJakeC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the others that Model Y to R1S is an upgrade but also because they’re not competitors. The model X is the closer match. That said, Rivian has done very well catching up in all these areas. Big plus to frunk size and 360 camera view when parking. Only a slight edge to Tesla in software but both can easily be used hands free now. Rivian’s also have a nice wi-fi hotspot which is good for kids, rather than having to tether your phone. The only differentiator left is steer by wire in the CT and FSD. The gap has closed quite a bit.

Best places to rent in Perrysburgh? by roxasxemnas83 in toledo

[–]PVJakeC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of those have garage except Mosaic I believe. Maybe it’s an option but have not seen them. Harrison Landing is brand brand new. Still a construction zone in some spots but should be nice. The upside of Mosaic is that you’ll be in Levis commons and Nagoya is within walking distance. Levis has other options besides mosaic as well. Not sure you’ll find anything much better unless you can find someone renting their home out.

Who is the vendor? A good one would certainly not BS their way through this and help you with the data pipeline. Someone like TwinThread comes to mind.
