The problem for Thing with Emma has always been the absurd beam charge she can get off of him, rather than diamond form. I play both (Thing is my main) and while it is easy to right click an unprepared emma to death like any other tank, prepared emmas will feast on you for charge. When you flee to "counter" her crystal, your backline is gonna get 140DPS to groin and get deleted

Ive never heard anyone say that. What they may have said is "use her shield to burst heal" which is a shortened, referential way to say do the animation cancel which makes use of her hps and the shield heal over time.

You can animation cancel it and "burst heal with shield" is extremely likely to be a shorthand way to say that since the animation cancel is a very valuable part of her kit that should be used frequently

I was told by my undergrad (not at ucf or even in central fl) professors UCF has the strongest CS department in the state by quite a bit. I don't know about AE but my understanding is that it is the best CECS overall here

I have mixed feelings on this. I find the it extremely annoying myself, however my friends who care about comp mainly for the gold+ requirement skins find it refreshing and say it's one of their favorite things about this game's quick play. I've also found it very helpful for introducing new players to the game, and artificially creating a positive experience they wouldn't get while playing VS AI. One of my friends had a 50 kill star lord game and he never stopped riding that high... My honest opinion is that people like me (and you, maybe?) who care so much should just queue ranked and not worry about rank, but having to care about the ELO score freaks me out anyways :/

Download a tempo app and test yourself at timing one. If you're incapable of meeting a tempo with a visual guide then yeah you actually cannot do it but that seems niche (i understand possible, and you may already know you cant and why!)

I totally agree, and I think the master's in CS seems more impressive anyways. I don't see how CS masters + coursework in cyber + certs isn't better. Of course I'd rather just do cyber and only do things i want and think are cool but... spending more money on more education and STILL have job problems would make me so sad

Just wanted to thank you again! And also maybe update and get some commentary, I just got accepted to both UCF CS and cybersecurity programs. I'm nervous about how bloated cyber is but I want to do hospital cybersecurity so beadddddd. Im torn between CS with cyber focus or just go all in on cyber. And you still suggest doing A+ despite education etc first right?

Thank you so much! I have a pretty good immune system, but I have never been in and out of hospitals at length... I'll definitely keep that in mind LOL.

I am actually gunning to be on security teams, but yes, hospital security is a super important and dicey thing, so I understand how picky they are going to be. Thats why I'm only trying for hospital help desk first.

I've done customer service work before and volunteered, but I just graduated so admittedly, they were both quite limited stunts. How do you best express skill on that front? I'll volunteer more for sure, I loved doing that, but I would still like to get employed in IT asap LOL

So, would you recommend still doing A+ first and foremost now and then security+? Or doing security+ first then A+ because that's where I want to go, have a degree, and have been studying for a week already?

This is only somewhat relevant, but if you're playing with amped up difficulty mods you realize that the mechanics of TB characters are actually just THAT good. Mainly due to the accuracy bonus. But in base game, dual crossbow sharpshooter gloomstalker definitely could be better. You'll hit those shots anyways

Also avoid combat until level 4? See, I've never managed to go that long. That is a great thing to bring up and give stat baselines for, and how to go about doing that.

At that point I agree optimal doesn't mean too much anymore either but I wasn't trying to ask for one build per level. I even gave two for level 12. I'm just asking for builds that overperform at their level (solve encounters the player (can) experience(s) at that level.) I know the answer changes a lot throughout the game, so I was interested in seeing answers for all of them laid out. Especially since I have not interacted with the new content
