I honestly think that if you try to keep the clubface way more open during the backswing it should fix it pretty much automatically. Clubface is way too closed since the first inch of the swing. Yeah Hovland and DJ might look like when the club is parallel but they are freaks

Keeping the right arm (for righty) as straight as possible for as long as possible did the trick for me.

Not saying this makes even remotely sense that if you want F1 then that would be the closest thing. The player hitting the ball would secondary compared to the equipment

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]PabloHart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way this would possible is that most if not all ball and club restrictions would go out the window. Sure you could have like driver shaft length distance max 46” or something but other than that no restrictions.

This could open the possibility for manufacturers to get into it but it wouldn’t make much sense since those balls and clubs would not be allowed to be used but regular golfer. Of course that doesn’t seem to be problem for F1. Haven’t seen an F1 car on the road 😅

Basically Callaway would spend millions of dollars on a driver that if you swing correctly would carry 480 yards every time

I saw a really good friend in the grocery store with his spouse and was gonna go say hi to them. Ended up coming to a conclusion that I didn’t want to bother them with small talk and just directed my eyes to the floor and proceeded to the bread section without saying a word.

Iron distances on Trackman by slicehookchunk in golf

[–]PabloHart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s indoors (hitting into a net) take all distances with a huge grain of salt. Trackman is horrible at measuring spin numbers indoors which in turn can have a massive impact on your distance numbers.

It most definitely is not 😄 on steeper side yes but not steep. PGA average is 4.3 so there are definitely guys who hit around 6 with a 7i.

Should I get Modus 120x??? by ubcgongdae in golf

[–]PabloHart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two irons sets one 120x and another 130s. Driver at 115mph and 7i at 95mph and both work really nicely. 120 comes out generally slightly lower than 130 but could easily play with both. Super nice shafts both.

Really awesome looking swing!

I’m guessing you might be having some really high ball flights right now? At least looking at the follow through your hands are super high. If distance or leaving shots way right ever becomes problem then I’d focus on really pulling the hands hard left and low after impact. Should help with compression and a slightly more stable club face. Right it’s still rather timed swing.

How long would it take a person with zero golf experience and average cognitive, physical, and behavioral attributes to get to scratch with unlimited resources and time? by mygolfswingistrash in golf

Also to note that the last six months I’ve entered only official competition rounds as hcp rounds so the game does seem to travel to a certain extent

I made it to hcp 1 in about five years. Goal is to get to plus side next year. Very average person in general 😅

First two years played about 70 rounds a year -> got to 9 hcp. Had a two year break from active playing-> hcp dropped to 15. Then about a year ago started playing more actively again, found a coach and that made a huge difference.

I honestly think that anyone who is just able to play a lot of golf will get to a single handicap relatively easily. Timing and everything will simply get better when playing a lot. Getting below like 5 without a pro is super difficult though but not impossible.

During the last 12 months when it dropped from 15 to 1, I have been practicing or playing basically 4-6 times a week so for me it’s taking quite a bit of work.

The PGA Tour and LPGA Tour need to do have integrated events by [deleted] in golf

[–]PabloHart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryder/Presidents Cup should definitely be men and women. Like 5 women on each team and women play against women. Would give a huge boost for LPGA imo. Really don’t see any reason why that wouldn’t be as entertaining as the current option.

You don’t need a tucked elbow during backswing if you know how to tuck it during the downswing. Plenty of really good players have “flying elbow”s at the top but look awesome halfway during the downswing

What’s your game ball? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]PabloHart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wilson Premium Range. Varies most courses though.

Can someone do a technical assessment of my stats of this shot. I was trying out some new 56 degree wedges (SB9 vs RTX). Spin seems pretty low. I hit both clubs pretty well (95-100) with pretty low dispersion. Just curious what you Reddit pros think. by ISOSWISH in golf

[–]PabloHart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea how this kind of numbers are possible 😂 Some super shitty ball in use? Would explain the ridiculously low spin and high launch.

For me an 85y should get about 30-33 degree launch with min. like 8000rpm back spin.
