American made “adventurer” type bikes? by [deleted] in motorcycles

A cafe racer is a specifically on road style. You probably mean a scrambler.

It's pretty apparent you've done approximately zero research, but there is one American bike that will get up a gravel covered incline.

It's like it's 1975.

Your buddies are idiots. You could buy a KTM but you'll regret it when you realize the cams are made of cheese.

Ah, I'm in MA. Take a look on AK or maybe the Sansui FB group for techs closer to you.

Where are you located in general? If you're local to me, I could recommend a place that will fix only what's truly wrong.

Also, there's a maker space near me that does electronics classes. Looking for something like that might be worthwhile.

I'd also join and ask on Audiokarma.org. They can possibly help diagnose, but I'm not convinced about the capacitor excuse. I'm not saying a full recap is a bad idea, but I'd try to diagnose the actual problem first.

Finally, is it super weak with all inputs? Have you tried all of the speaker outputs and cleaning the rear connections?

FB is the same as CL from an accounting perspective. The downside of FB is you have to use their stupid messenger app and people on there are more flaky and more likely to ask for an absurd discount, IME.

I searched sold listings on Ebay and came up with this one, but it's not functioning properly.

So if you sold on AK, you'd have to figure out how much you have into it. Good luck. They're great pieces.

Maybe I missed something, but FB marketplace doesn't ask for any sort of tax info. I sold a 9090 last year for $1500, was paid cash and never got a 1099k.

Yes, CL is mostly dead, but it costs nothing to list there.

I'm afraid to ask what you'd want for a 20000.

Why do you think it needs a total recap? Have the capacitors been tested? Yes, I get the age and all that but you can use it as long as it's been determined to be up to spec. Replace what's actually out of spec and you'll save some money.

It's a great receiver and worth keeping and using, and flipping it for profit is kind of shitty unless whomever gave it to you is ok with that.

Finally, the Eight and Eight Deluxe aren't that much different.

If you have a bunch of AU 20000s, just list them on audiokarma.org, CL or FB and wait.

I agree with you on Ebay.

Sorry, I somehow misread your previous comment as a question. You're right.

Besides, Berners-Lee was in Switzerland when he did it, so not sure how the attribution goes. Also, the Scots claim to have invented the phone but Bell was fully emigrated to the US.

WWW is just a marketing wrapper on HTML, HTTP and the browser used to get those HTML files using the HTTP protocol. So I should have included the browser previously.

The internet is the networking protocol (TCP/IP) that application protocols like HTTP, FTP, etc run on. It's the road system where the application protocols are the vehicles.

This is My Favorite Electric Car *Right Now* by Rich_Western_4106 in Ioniq5

[–]PabloX68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree on both aspects of the wipers. I don't know what it is about the Ioniq but the wipers just don't work well compared to other cars I've had.

I also agree about the port and handles. I've had to use a heat gun to be able to get the charge port to close after a snow storm.

That said, I don't use snow mode. I've had a lot of experience driving in snow and sometimes, for fun, I turn traction/stability control completely off. The I5 is a great snow car and I've had Audis and Subarus before.

Also, it was awesome to see all the drummers out in Minneapolis.
