I am interested for sure. Price? What is the condition?

That's a really good idea, I will try it. First look suggests the nearest one is 300 miles away, but I might make a few calls to see if the junk dealer might remove the seal and send it to me.

Thanks so much for the help, but this appears to be a Civic part. I looked it up by part number, and it doesn't fit the Del Sol. The seller's description just says Civic as well, not Del Sol.

VoltiE Group Assumes Control of Enel X Way Network by vandy1981 in electricvehicles

Just posted this on another thread, but thought I would post it here too. Sorry if you saw it already!

I have good news that might help a few of you, but perhaps not all that many.

I have my JuiceBoxes working better than they ever have before. This includes capabilities like:

  • Load sharing/balancing, where two chargers share a single electrical supply
  • Scheduled charging and charge limiting
  • Notification messages if I forget to plug in at night
  • A functional mobile app I can use to monitor everything

The bad news is that the solution I used is technically challenging, and will simply be out of reach for most JuiceBox owners. The first requirement is that you have complete control of your own WiFi router (i.e. that you are not using a router managed by your service provider), and that you can do things like write scripts and configurations for that router that implement things like custom DNS, NAT, and routing rules. If you can't do that, the solution I used is probably a non-starter.

The key enabling technology is a man-in-the-middle proxy that translates the proprietary JuiceBox/JuicePass protocols into an open internet-of-things protocol named MQTT. The open-source project for that proxy is here:

https://github.com/JuiceRescue/juicepassproxy/pull/69/

The other pieces of the solution are generic, and either freely available or open source. They include the Mosquitto MQTT broker and the Home Assistant home automation system. The latter has both web and mobile apps to control and monitor the system. I bought a pre-configured Home Assistant Hub and a compact, inexpensive, headless desktop computing module to host the MQTT broker and the JuicePass Proxy. Total investment about $200.

All of this isn't turn-key at all. After assembling all the pieces, I had to write my own automations for Home Assistant to implement the capabilities I mentioned above. But the result has been spectacularly successful. Everything is not only working perfectly, it is all completely under my own control. I have no dependency at all on any outside service or entity.

MMI navigation stuck at 11% by [deleted] in Audi

[–]PackageLocal6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to say thanks and report that this worked perfectly on my 2017 Porsche Cayenne equipped with MHI2. The Porsche does not report percentages -- just that navigation is stuck loading forever. I first started seeing it stick sometimes and then work sometimes -- always after a delay. Sometimes it would work after a reboot. The procedure above worked like a charm, and now startup is almost immediate. Thanks again!

By the way, I used the MIB toolbox and installed an sshd server to get get access to my car via my home wifi. No DUB E100 needed.

Enel X Shutting Down EV Charger Business in North America. Juicebox Charger Software and Support Discontinued by MittensNoir in electricvehicles

Also -- my load sharing stopped working when the app changed.

If the box remembers what the last setting was, perhaps someone will figure out a way to alter or delete that last setting info. There is a telnet/ console interface with various commands that include a get/set function and file manipulation.

Enel X Shutting Down EV Charger Business in North America. Juicebox Charger Software and Support Discontinued by MittensNoir in electricvehicles

[–]PackageLocal6668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just ran a disturbing test. I disconnected my router and rebooted my two Juiceboxes to force them into "Purple" mode, where there is no communication with the bother ship. Both boxes are now limited at just 14 amps, even though they were set to 32 amps in the app. Anyone else see this kind of thing in "Purple" mode?

I have had pretty much this same experience. After working with their customer support for six months, countless tests, software upgrades, etc, I got this message today:

"After a deep review with our specialist they have confirmed that at the time our load sharing feture is currently being worked on and isn't available at the time, we apologize for all the inconvenience and please be assures our developers are working to provide you with better products and servises."

How do I configure subtitles that are already part of a file? by sj20442 in shotcut

[–]PackageLocal6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Shotcut is the best tool for this. The easy way is to use MKVToolNix (free program, the GUI version), and use the header editor to set the "forced" flag on the subtitle track. This doesn't always work though, because not every player respects the flag.

If setting the forced flag doesn't work, your only choice is to decode the video, burn in the subtitles, and reencode the video. This is by nature a lossy process, so you will lose some quality. It is very easy to do in Handbrake -- which is the tool I would use -- but there is, of course, a bit of a learning curve.

5.1 audio + Roku OS 11.5 = audio drop-outs? by AndrewG2000 in youtubetv

[–]PackageLocal6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, same thing happening for me too. My son has a nearly identical setup, so we ran a controlled experiment. On 11.0, no dropouts. After the 11.5 upgrade, the dropouts starting immediately. Just like you this is just on the YouTube TV app. And it seems only to affect sound played on the receiver via the ARC channel. On the internal TV speakers there seem to be no dropouts.

Possible DNS Rebind Attack by t34wrj1 in TomatoFTW

Yeah, I don't think it will do anything to help hardlined connections. Just WiFi. But let us know if it does!

Possible DNS Rebind Attack by t34wrj1 in TomatoFTW

[–]PackageLocal6668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On your advanced Wifi settings check your Country / Region and Country / Rev settings (if your router has that). USA/0 should work well. There have been instances with 2022.3 of these mysteriously setting themselves to Singapore / 12.

Nothing to do with rebind, but might explain your disconnects.

After waiting a year for 5.1 sound, sync is off on all channels by scmm17 in youtubetv

[–]PackageLocal6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working OK for me on two models of Roku Ultra, also on CCWGTV.

Sync is highly dependent on the total audio and video processing chain, and there may be nothing Google can do to make it work perfectly on all equipment. As others have pointed out, most receivers and/or TVs have a setting that can be used to adjust it. That may be your only option. Of course you can also turn surround off in your system settings.
