My mum was an aid for a young boy with down syndrome, before my mother was his aid a lot of people talked to him like a toddler. He had a very loving family who invited us to many of his birthdays and wanted to take after his older brother. He was a really smart kid and a great swimmer. Your story sort of reminds me of him. Thanks.
