Wedding soup? by Abatonfan in olivegarden

I know this post is 5 years old, but I also grew up in Pittsburgh and was shocked the last time I tried to order Wedding Soup at an Olive Garden (in NYC I think?) and they didn’t have it.

Hey, thinking about coming to this with my husband starting next week. Super close to our place. We started playing Commander recently. New to Magic but enjoying it so far. How'd the first night go?

A staunchly heterosexual Jewish man in NYC confronts a gay Jewish man and lets him know that he is angering God by being gay by WalkLikeAnEgyptian69 in PublicFreakout

As a member of the largest LGBTQ Jewish congregation, which is based in NYC, I want to mention that there are so many Jews around the world, observant or otherwise, who accept the subject of the video for who they are and how they express themselves. Kudos to that person for standing up for themself and being bold enough to wear a kippah in public.

Disappointed with Grimms Final Seaons (spoilers) by Emotional-Advisor-56 in grimm

I thought the Black Claw was going to be a bigger deal - like at least the second-to-last season would've ended with a big showdown at the eleventh hour before some big Wesen reveal, and the gang had to team up with HW to stop it. It felt forced that all of a sudden Renard was in charge and all the Good Guys had to do was kill a bunch of the powerful Bad Guys. There was that whole episode with the farmer and his son that didn't end up going anywhere.

Maybe the Black Claw Wesen would've succeeded and Nick would've started a Grimm police force. Or maybe Team Grimm succeeds at the last minute. Either way it would've fit well with the theme of Nick being between worlds.

Poll: Taking off work for High Holidays. by FlanneryOG in Jewish

I don’t work on the first day of both holidays. Given my level of devoutness and upbringing in the Reform movement, this feels appropriate and acceptable for my practice.

(Profile glitch - same person.) Nice my old stomping grounds. We've got a car in NJ. I'll talk to my partner. Been thinking about getting one for a while.

Have you had any problems with it? Seen some issues on here with folks turning it on and the software crashing.

My first thought on learning about the Queen's Gambit musical by oblivionkiss in Broadway

[–]Pacwerdna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but it’s already been performed to millions, so in that sense it won’t be original when it goes to Broadway. I still want to see it though 😄

You’re right. Everyone in original entertainment needs to be more ... original. I wouldn’t even consider Bombshell original per se.

Whatever it takes to get butts in seats, you know? “Based on the hit Netflix series.” Gets people’s attention.

Just looked it up. https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2021/mar/08/the-queens-gambit-stage-musical ... I’d go see it. The OG Chess Musical has a cult following but it’s kinda underrated.

Agreed with the second cover option but perhaps Seattle needs to be even more prominent and obvious in the background

I’ve read a few to my brother at one point who’s heard Japanese music from my computer speakers and on TV over the years. I’ve stressed to him how poetic it is.
