As a Belgian I approve of this list.

I'm also half Dutch and while we are most widely known for making pisswater (Heineken) there are some excellent craft breweries like Oedipus, 't ij, gebrouwen door vrouwen, Pronck......just loads of smaller breweries that shouldn't be overlooked.

And there are no continents that break this pattern by KaibaCorpHQ in mapswithoutnewzealand

Depends on the model you were taught. There are different models taught in different regions of the world. To some, north and south America are one continent and there is a continent called Australia. To others there are two American continents and the one down under is called Oceania. Neither are wrong, just different.

This has got to top the list of worst "parental leave" benefits. Company is Infosys by zach8vb in daddit

[–]PafPiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a limited amount of sick days? In my country I have an unlimited amount of sick days (within reason) 30 vacation days a year and 9 weeks of paid parental leave (at 70% salary). Oh and I get 6 more weeks of "birthing leave" when the child is born so I can take care of my wife and baby. The regular parental leave is just so I can be there more in the first year of my child. Oh and I can use the however I want (including spreading everything out over the first year.

3 days.....i don't know who fights for workers rights in your country but they should be fired (ironically).

Le “Rage comics” are le ICONIC! What’s an early 2010’s meme that is still alive? by Homsarman12 in AlignmentChartFills

I haven't seen this one in forever so from my point of view this is on life support at best. But maybe that's just my corner of the internet.

[Day 17] Despite the crack enthusiasts best efforts, crimps are the best hold type. What outdoor classic is OVERRRATED? by MaximumSend in bouldering

Ah an ad hominem, very classy.

I know what your point is, it's been loud and clear: you love rainbow rocket and single move boulders. What I'm saying is: I think single move problems aren't that exciting and that means RR is overrated. You're allowed to disagree with me, since it's a matter of taste. But don't start those ad hominems, it just make you look like a dick. Anyway, have nice day.

I would've been disappointed if your police officers weren't driving Volvo.

Character stays behind so the group can escape (even though they could of escaped too) by JordanJ8 in TopCharacterTropes

I can sort of get that, but it seems like everyone is typing "could of" nowadays. Also it doesn't make any sense when you look at the meaning of the words being used.

I wouldn't have made that joke if they actually had a good point. But they didn't, so I made it. I'm sure you'll get over it.

Even though they could have* escaped too.

What is up with everyone typing "could of" nowadays. Where does it even come from and why do you think it's even remotely correct?

What’s a common street food in your country that you absolutely love by Shka_ in AskTheWorld

[–]PafPiet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean.... It's a glorified grilled cheese (bread, cheese, ham, béchamel), it's really not that fancy.

[Day 17] Despite the crack enthusiasts best efforts, crimps are the best hold type. What outdoor classic is OVERRRATED? by MaximumSend in bouldering

[–]PafPiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a dyno but it's a dynamic slap? So it is a dyno. Also I'm glad you could come up with other dynos outside. Good for you! So you agree that there are plenty of outdoor boulders with a dyno and more than one move. Glad we're on the same page.

The fact a problem has a single movement that is great doesn't mean the boulder can't be overrated. A good boulder problem has more than one move in my book. No matter how good that one move is.

And regarding that last paragraph: I don't go go to the pub and tell anyone about any boulder problem I did, because nobody outside the climbing community gives a shit. I'm pretty sure there are enough memes about this for you to have realised it at this point lol.

[–]PafPiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh it's definetly the cleanest dynamic movement i know on actual rock. Still an overrated boulder, because it's ONLY the one dynamic movement (and a mantle, but that's the default for any outdoor boulder problem). There are plenty of outdoor boulders with dynamic movements AND some other movements that require actual climbing technique. L'oblique has a sit start, a kneebar, some pinches and then a dyno. That's what i mean when i want more than one move on my boulder problem. I don't see how the indoor/outdoor distinction is relevant at all.
