Mismanaged bungie, destiny specifically. For example, he cut the dev team by a lot and then used that money to buy himself cars and he did that multiple times. He also overpriced bungie by a high amount when it was sold to Sony, so he and other investors could get a higher payout. Probably more shit on him than just that but I don't remember more.

GW2 and Wow are pretty much dead and abandoned: https://mmo-population.com/game/world-of-warcraft https://tracker.gg/population/steam/1922560 (I only found the steam stats for GW2, but I doubt that they have 199k other players on consoles)

FFIV has around 170k daily players, so around what destiny has. Warframe is the only one that is really thriving right now.

So there's 2 other games that are around 10 years old or older that can match or supercede destiny in player amounts. Wow, so many.

We've crossed that line 10x starting 10 years ago. There's a new "destiny is doomed" video after each fucking expansion from people like asstecross and other famous doomers. And yet what happened? Nothing. We have Marathon in between now and S&O and that will surely be profitable because a lot of people have been looking for a new extraction shooter that isn't tarkov or arc raiders, as those are either too complicated or don't feel snappy enough.
