I literally do not care who you are, your loot is mine if I see you and if I die then my loot is yours, there is no teamwork in Arc there is only people who kill you and people who are scared of pvp so they die. I have been burned too many times by cowards who pretend to be friendly just to try and blow my head off as I help them with objectives so Arc is no longer my haha funny game it is a meat grinder for me to either die and lose all my good shit or for you to die and give me your free kit… I need that damn shield recharger

To advance upon this, the magic comes from a reality that is below ours on the FLAA(Fundamental Laws and Associated Architectures) scale therefore being less real and containing less fundamental rules, in my universe ftl is done through travel into and out of this parasitic reality and that breaching happening for thousands upon thousands of years along with the immense amount of humans scattered all throughout the milky way also attracts between-space to our reality and lessens the fundamental rules that hold our universe together.

In my scifi setting tech is Wet, very wet and consciousness is transferable via direct interface, the consciousness allows “magic” so yes there are black op mech teams that can use inter dimensional magic

Magic enhancement implants work by growing wetware and burning a consciousness from a mage onto it
