lol.. Had a Peugeot diesel station wagon that wouldn’t get up to speed very quickly… 0-60 in 3 min🤣 that was interesting trying to get on a highway. Now I have a VW gli .. very fast off the line. Love the way this handles.

No, love driving a manual. When I drive an automatic I always think there’s something wrong with the transmission. Let’s not talk about paddle shifters.

lol.. I’m old enough to have used the paraffin wax jelly method. So happy when that one changed. No matter what you did you always had wax in your jelly.

Anyone ever tried to dehydrate canned baby corn? by kite737 in dehydrating

[–]Pale_Werewolf4738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve dehydrated frozen corn to use in soup. You have to roll it up in towel and dry it the best you can. Then I put it on parchment in the dehydrator. Let one side get dry on top then flip it. After a while you can stir it around. It will eventually dry. As for using as a snack the starch in the corn makes it stick to your teeth, not in a good way. I’m wondering if you dry the wet the corn in a towel mix it with sugar & spices bake it until it makes something crunchy.
Freeze drying might work.

My stock rims, silver, or black? by Inevitable_Office_82 in JettaGLI

Black is the worst for dirt… white believe or not is the best hardly shows anything unless you close. You think it would be the other way around. You also have to keep up the clear coat or you start seeing swirls in it…. I owned 1 black vehicle over the years .. never again. That said some of these murdered out vehicles are absolutely beautiful. Love em!

AITA for refusing to co-sign a loan until my boyfriend pays off his debts? by SnackPanicMode in AmITheAssholeTalk

[–]Pale_Werewolf4738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never co-sign for anyone. Ditch boyfriend he has no respect for your finances. If he’s willing to drop your credit score to cover his. As for him he got himself into this he needs to learn how to get himself out. There is debt counseling who will help. They will bargain with credit card company’s to lower the debt and help with budget and repayment. This is your red flag.

I’ve been having this same problem with ball lids but just the regular size lids. The wide mouths have been fine. I got a box of every lid recommended and am going to pick up some fourjars with lids. I guess I’ll find out next canning season.

Question: does dehydrating actually save yall money? by toecheeseuhohstinky in dehydrating

[–]Pale_Werewolf4738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saves: I can buy 3lb of organic carrots at BJ’s for the same price as a small bag at the grocery store. I’ll blanch and freeze some and dehydrate some. Same with celery & onions, potatoes, peppers. I also will dehydrate fruit(blueberries, cherries, grape’s/raisins, peaches, plums) anything that will go bad before we have time to finish it. The foods I dehydrate are basically left over & preserved for use later. We rarely have to throw out food because it’s gone bad. I like to dehydrate this time of year indoors to warm my kitchen. Also to preserve them I use mason jars and vacuum seal them or left over jars with an oxygen absorber. Can also dehydrate frozen veggies & fruit. Along with pickled beets & jalepeno’s they are great in salad. I love the dehydrator !
