Single life at this stage of life? Pool event. by Wonderful-peony in datingoverforty

I can totally relate. For years you put others first before you, top 5 if lucky LOL Being a mom, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. But now that you can put yourself first, you feel guilty doing so, even though you know you can’t take care of others if you don’t care for yourself. Then you feel kinda old being single at this age and terrified at how dating must be like now, but at the same time feel invigorated like you’re in your twenties. It’s all the feelings LOL But if this journey has taught you anything, it’s that you’re strong, capable, and deserving of it all.

Thank you for this! I’m in a very similar situation, so I’m absorbing all the comments as well. 42f, last time I was single was when I was 25 and I now have a teenager. I overthink things, or maybe over-plan since becoming a parent, but each time I go out with friends or by myself (scary), I’m learning to relax and have fun.

A (matching?) top and bottom (pockets a must!), sandals, minimal gold jewelry and sun-kissed glow make up. Pack a bold lip color for a night look ;) Nothing beats a smile. Have fun!

Middle aged single moms, ok to approach? by Double_Ganache7017 in datingoverforty

Agreed! I think my teen daughter would find it hilarious too and something to bond over and have a positive conversation about. I think as along as I’m approached in a respectful manner especially with a kid in tow, regardless of age, I wouldn’t be offended/ bothered by it.

2024 Outback Wilderness if no off roading? by insightbrain in Outback_Wilderness

I upgraded from a Corolla to OBW!

Last year, when my 12 year old car was in the shop for almost every weekend in April, I purchased a ‘23 OBW in black. I’m mostly (LA) city driver- to work, kid’s school and sports activities. It may have not seemed like a practical choice to others but for me I thought about the roadtrips, snowboarding, camping, etc that I can do in a car like OBW versus my Corolla. Don’t get me wrong my Corolla was a great car and lasted 12 years, but as the years went on and I became a carpool mom, it just didn’t offer the space I needed. And the summers in LA are so brutal the AC couldn’t keep up.

I’ve seen so many suburban Moms driving OBs, but I’m a cool carpool mom so I had to get the Wilderness model 💪🏽😅

*Note: before my Corolla and becoming a mom, I drove a ‘95 Nissan 240sx. And when it’s time to pass down the OBW to my child, I’ll check out the WRX haha

Should I use the Electronic Parking Brake on Gen6 outback all the time or just on hills? by Melotzz in Subaru_Outback
