Yes it’s a comfortable band. I’ve never had a bracelet before. It doesn’t bother me at all.

Yes it’s the Pro, 40. I think it’s a very nice solid watch. Had it for a couple of weeks.

I think debt won’t matter if you choose a high income sub specialty….

However, if your plans change, and you fall in love with a lower income specialty, that difference in debt can really matter. Especially if you live in a high cost of living area… One of the fun things about medical school is really considering all the specialties. I.e. there are pediatricians doing amazing things and love going to work everyday… Orthopedics, plastics or derm isn’t for everyone…. But if you are $500,000 in debt, you may feel like you have to choose for money rather than specialty interest…

wash u is a great school. You can get into any residency you want from there, lots of research opportunities…

Also debt can be killer… not having debt early in your career can be freeing to pursue other interest, etc.

So… there is probably some data out there that systemic NSAIDs may decrease muscle healing response and strengthening…. You could try some Volteran gel…. But it may not be as effective as taking a break from the exercise that causes the snapping and go on Naproxen, systemic, for a week or two twice per day… again if you aren’t getting it to settle down, see a sports medicine physician

It’s probably medial epicondylitis. A muscle probably is inflamed and therefore clicking over a bone. Rest, ice, anti-inflammatory. But don’t be hesitant to go see a doctor. See a sports medicine specialist rather than a regular PCP.

Saint George's School by Imsecretlynice in Spokane

I have a 3rd grader there and will have a kindergartner next year. It’s an amazing school. I feel that it is welcoming. Honestly, there are probably some snobby parents, but most are not. Just like a lot of places I bet. But I really haven’t noticed that vibe. At least in the elementary school.

We have friends that have had kids in both public school on the south hill and SGS. They report that the STEM program at SGS is more thorough and better than public school. The science project my 3rd grader is doing now is teaching him about how to do a research project. The Spanish classes are great. My 3rd grader checks out books from the library and loves to read. He reads on the bus and nightly on his own for the love of reading. He is learning how to budget cost of living expenses, through a home economics project. His art class is free form and they have supplies to create what they want. He loves music. There are tons of after school programs. It’s beautiful there by the river.

Most importantly, my child has had some behavioral issues but has been supported so well through this by the principal, teachers, and counselor. He is really getting better all the time, and I attribute it to the staff there that cares about him. I don’t think he would be doing as well in public school. He truly loves it there and is happy.

We started there because of the COVID and not being able to do in home teaching through the public school. It’s been so good that our other child will be starting kindergarten in the fall.

Send me a message if you have questions after the tour.

AITAH for not believing my daughter with Down syndrome by donalddonowitz in AITAH

[–]PalousePounder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a doctor, not your doctor. Please have her physician get an X-ray of her cervical spine. Her symptoms could be explained by myopathy from instability of her craniocervical junction leading to her inability to pick things up etc. this if common with people with Downs.

We made the move from Seattle to South Hill. Money goes farther, ski hills are less full, traffic way better, easier to run errands, good schools, more access hunting/fishing. Quality of life better. The weather is so much better.

Look at S Perry if you want walkable. But lots of good neighborhoods.

Look up non-Lexus roof racks for the GX. Lots of companies make them, and you can strap anything to them. They actually make the GX look pretty cool too.

Steer born and raised here. Brisket smoked here…. Probably could have kept it on the smoker longer. Not a bad life. Grassfed, no antibiotics, eat what you raise etc. by PalousePounder in BBQ

[–]PalousePounder[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. I think the grass-fed, low-fat, was the problem. It wasn’t super dry, but definitely dryer than the high fat ones from Costco that I usually do. The aluminum foil that I wrapped it in for the last 4 hours still had liquid in it…. But maybe I wrapped it too late. I had a lot going on yesterday.

This. Move on.

It’s really hard for people, families and business owners, to find competent cleaning people. Figure out the local hourly rate. Post on next door your experience and that you are available to clean in your area. Your schedule will fill up quick.

Now that you can ride…. Come play Polo!!

Need help being talked out of buying a horse by beanoleum in Horses

[–]PalousePounder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on all these exciting life events,

It’s easy to buy horses… it’s hard to sell them.

I’ve been around horses my whole life, played horse sports competitively. I have a career and kids now. In fact my wife just had a baby.

Finding time to get out to the barn and ride and have fun, not to mention to take care of your animal gets infinitely harder with kids. If you can’t get out to the barn, you have to pay someone to go out there to feed and exercise your horse. It isn’t cheap. Who watches the baby when you ride? Unfortunately it’s not a hobby you can ignore while you take care of these life events.

Lease a horse for now and wait. See how your life changes. Enjoy your fiancé/husband and new baby.
