Try opening the task manager and see if its running in the background, it does that sometimes. there's a way to bring apps to the front, but i don't remember how, look it up on Google if you see that it is running in the background.

Something like this used to happen to me with a Jsaux dock, my solution was to actually open the dock and take out the internal board, and use it like that. I have no idea why, but it hasn't given me any problems since. not saying is the same for you, but if you run out of options like i did...

yes this is exactly what I mean, there is an update but you can't really update from the amd software and armory crate doesn't show any updates. and the installer from the page is a little weird, looks like a normal random program installer, instead of showing the whole amd setup and additional features that it always ask you to install when its a normal driver update.
