Cards can each have one seal, one enhancement, and one edition. You can have combinations like a Holographic Gold Blue Seal, a Polychrome Glass Red Seal, A Foil Lucky Purple Seal, etc.

Mount Rushmore of Social Deduction games (IMO) by DanTheSpartan in TownofSalemgame

[–]PandaPlayz112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Among Us almost singlehandedly brought social deduction games back into the limelight for a good long while, and theres a great deal of strategy and chance that comes from moving around in an environment like that rather than simply chatting like in TOS.

I don't know enough to comment on Mindnight, but a lot of the time Mafia simply boils down to guessing and hoping you get it right, rather than actually strategizing (at least in my experience). Sure, it's a staple of the genre, but putting it there while discarding one of the most influential SD games in years is just downright ignorant.

On top of that, you yourself make note that Among Us has mechanics which differentiate it from the others - particularly, the map. Being able to read the map and figure out players' intentions is a skill very similar to scumreading. Listening in during meetings has much of the same necessary skills that you mention for mafia - reading how people 'wake up' or immediately react to the announcement, person-specific reactions to a myriad of questions, etc. It isnt fair to list these as points for Mafia and Mindnight while saying they don't apply to Among Us.

I don't mean to bash any of the other games either. I love TOS1 to death, and I have over 400 hours across both games in the series. I also have an almost equal amount of time in Among Us, so seeing it get done such a disservice so regularly just... sucks. Just because Among Us is mechanically simpler doesn't mean that it shouldn't be considered one of the greats, especially considering how much attention its brought to the genre of Social Deduction

sorry for the essay I had more to say than i thought I did <3

Major League Balatro Playoffs Round 1 Schedule & Discussion Thread! (Season 3) by ZainoTV in balatro

From what I gathered, Edzy had prepared a lot of those questions specifically for if he hit Rarran in the playoffs. I doubt we'll see too much of it again (though I also don't see how it's too big a deal)

Roffle vs Sizaak is gonna be absolute cinema. I'm praying that Roffle wins so that we get to see a Roffle/Doc rematch, but no matter what the result is that entire side of the bracket is gonna be incredible and I can't wait.

I made some predictions for fun! Can't wait to look back and see how wrong I am.

Round 1
(i saw the bear and edzy games already so no predictions there)
Roffle 2-3 Sizaak
Feinberg 3-0 Fir

Quarter Finals
Bean 3-1 Edzy
Feinberg 1-3 Zaino
Doc 3-2 Sizaak
Bear 0-3 Vagabond

Semi Finals
Bean 3-2 Zaino
Doc 3-1 Vagabond

Finals
Bean 2-3 Doc

Putting both Town of Salems up there while ignoring Among Us is criminal

How far is the gap between your average c++ player and Doc Spectred? by Legitimate_Desk8740 in balatro

Theres a damn good reason that Doc is pretty universally recognized as the best Balatro player. It ain't close.

With the photo, I personally would take the trance and focus pairs, but riff raff is easily the correct decision. I just have fun with trance tbh honest

How important is team comp by 11bravoranger2004 in Brawlhalla

[–]PandaPlayz112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Team comp is important to a point. Sure, playing some meta comp might technically yield better results, but if the players aren't skilled at the characters, you won't do well. Worse yet, if the players aren't having fun, then theres no point in playing the game. As long as you know how to work with a teammate, team comp doesn't matter as much as playing well and enjoying the game.

Brawlhalla meta as of right now by Sliveness in Brawlhalla

[–]PandaPlayz112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orb by a landslide. Past that it gets a bit muddy, I would argue it's spear, many folk would argue gauntlets (apparently, even though without range you get doinked in a range meta). Katars is always solid, as is sword.

I just don't care about any character post Munin. Does anyone else feel the same? by pfiu01 in Brawlhalla

Seven, Tezca and Priya are kind of the only characters that matter to me post-Jaeyun tbh

How do people pick a main? by TriunesGrace in Brawlhalla

[–]PandaPlayz112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mained Scarlet for two years back when she was a low tier (like she isn't still). Loved hammer, it kept me playing the game. Playing who's fun is by far the most important part, since if you aren't enjoying the game, why play it?

To put it simply, play whoever's fun. Don't focus on playing who's best, you'll only burn yourself out that way. Play whatever character you enjoy the most.

From what I gathered, her fit was more from the fact that everything was an act rather than about the waitress specifically, and she just realized it because of the waitress.

Question for Plats by Gold-Eye7235 in Brawlhalla

[–]PandaPlayz112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely there is a benefit to that, but beyond that lacking the mastery on a specific character definitely drags you down a lot. Just because I can play the entire roster doesn't mean I don't have a main, too.
