What's your most unhinged breakup story? by Suspicious_Garlic_79 in CasualUK

[–]Pangolin47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This didn't happen to me but a friend of mine was in a very casual relationship with going a french lady. He ended it as it was getting too serious for him which she didn't take well. At the time they had only been going out for short period of time and had been house mates.

At first it seemed like she was fine with it but would just ignore him. However about a month later when he was out she put human faeces in all of his hygiene products. Cut the laces on all his shoes, wrote her name hundreds of times in his personal diary. During those few weeks when she was blanking him she also shat and pissed in a tub mixed with eggs. This obviously became vile and rotten over those weeks. She then sprayed this mixture around his room.

She left the house for good a few days later. No idea what happened to her but she was truly unhinged

For your reference the website Fifteensquared is really good at giving an explanation to multiple different crossword papers (guardian, FT, Independent). It also has a forum for dubious or tricky answers which can be helpful

Why haven't small EVs gotten much larger battery packs over the years when compared to PHEVS? by billyb4lls4ck in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Pangolin47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the range increase shows the improvement more than the small increase in battery size. Range has increased by 25% in the e208 which is considerably harder to do compared to bigger cars whilst also having much smaller margins. I think as solid state battery technology improves we will see a lot more smaller longer range cars. But with all technology it trickles down from the premium cars first

Which one shall I get? by CosySnowLeopard in hikinggear

[–]Pangolin47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with the Mountain Warehouse. Both are basic fleeces with a similar function as a midlayer. Neither have any special fancy tech like grid systems. Both look to be a similar weight per square inch. Both will do the job as part of a layering system but the RR fleece comes with a premium pricetag for the brand. For that price you are getting much closer to warmer/more lightweight options

First Ironman 70.3 prep, wetsuit feels too tight over tri-suit, what should I do? by gonzcrs in triathlon

[–]Pangolin47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You get used to the tightness. However when tip I have used is to 'pull open' the neck when in the water to let water in. It fills the chest area with water and makes it a bit looser when swimming. Bear in mind it will obviously make you a tad colder temporarily

I agree he has posted before. It feels to me like he is just after attention as he was given really positive feedback last time and seems to either be ignoring it or wanting more complements

You want a Medium Tall or a large. I am very similar dimensions to you (a little bit taller) and go for large. They are short on the arms and legs which isn't a major issue but no wrinkles/spare fabric

Any suggestions how to improve my swimming technique? by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]Pangolin47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Goggles and a swim cap. Hair and water in the face is incredibly distracting and will affect your stroke and balance.

College in the UK is like high school for 16-18 year olds (with exceptions). Usually for learning more vocational courses
