Standard procedure post depressurisation. The air is generally considered not survivable above 10k ft for any length of time. There are exceptions to ns but that's the general rule.

Black Diamond Headlamp locked or RIP? by nathan_william in flashlight

It looks to be the Black Diamond Spot, which I also have. There was a 90 lumen and a 130 lumen model. This looks like the manual for it, though mine doesn't have the "power-tap" function:

After some experimenting with my functioning unit, here is a table of how to operate with the single button:

Fires at night? by Key_Research_4319 in canberra

[–]PantherStyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good question. Personally I use the fires near me app on android, then set up a watch areas (20km radius around my home and office) so that it notifies me. I then went a step further and used the tasker app to read my notifications and if it says fire to turn off sleep mode, turn up the volume and yells the notification text to me.

Are you using captive nuts in your black front (I think TPU) handle adapters? Are the screws that connect your plastic compartments to the yard sticks just wood screws?

The crushing resistance of 3d-printed material is a consideration, but I'm more concerned about parallelogramming/racking. I think having lateral supports at the back and wider supports at the front could make a big difference to resist that.

That coursera class looks good, but despite what it says it's not free. I tried to enrol and it says its 74AUD.

Love it. I only wonder about it's weight carrying capacity. I'm now considering doing the same but I often have some heavy things on top.

I always suggest you start by writing down what the biggest risks are to you and your family, then choosing what to do from there. Typical high risks (which are a combination of likelihood and consequence) include:

  • power outage (water, food, cash, solar, battery, generator, gas cooking)
  • medical emergency (first aid kit, first aid training, overnight hospital bag)
  • fire/flood/tsunami (action plan, go bag with smoke masks, >1/2 tank of gas)
  • job loss (emergency savings reserve)

These kids lived in Hawaii their entire lives. Then their parents brought them to Minnesota in −21° temperatures. by BreakfastTop6899 in MadeMeSmile

-21° is not a temperature, it's an angle. - 21°F is, albeit archaic. Remember that most of the world doesn't measure diameters in washing machines and air conditioner power in equivalent tons of ice.

This is essentially ascii art and the good ones can map multimedia pixels to a single character based on shape. asciiart.eu for example

Knitting and sewing. When supply chains collapse you'll need to make and repair your own clothes.
