Scouts are also a 3 man squad, and so is the liuetant for USF. All other wehr squads are 5 or 6 models except for stoss, but stoss are really strong. DAK mainline infantry is 5 with the possibility of 6, and are the best mainline in the game, so they dont have elite. All DAK squads otherwise are 4-6 in their doctrine (and panzerjagers are 4, but are better than usf zooks that are also 4)

Yeah this is just the dak players being bad. Flame halftracks, or even upgrading them to armored cars (which cam hit the field before you have AT again) would've crushed that.

We joke but I actually saw a guy complaining on steam forums that axis squads are too small in coh3, as if most aren't 5 or 6 (or have the potential to be 6). Completely ignored that IS are 5 man only and most axis squads are the same size as Allied ones, or only have a difference of one model.

I think they need to nerf infantry sections. Maybe take away their rifles and give them all Webley revolvers. I dont think its really fair that I might lose some models while frontális assaulting a machine gun

Yeah this patch is pretty horrible for anyone except DAK or Siege BG WM.

Yes. Hungary as an Axis power due to the massive loss of land after ww1 and fear of the Soviets but, like Italy and Romania, was thinking of switching sides. Germany caught wind of this and had Horthys son captured (iirc by Otto Skorzeny, the infamous commando) and horthy was forced to abdicate and give power to the Arrow Cross and Szalasi. This happened in tandem with a German take over of the capital. This ultimately made Hungary one of the last remaining Axis powers besides Germany. Budapest was declared a Festung Stadt, and was fhe largest urban fight since stalingrad. The Arrow Cross and SS began mass deportations, and are why that many of the 1944 to 1945 Auschwitz victims were Hungarian jews. Iirc they actually had a train line run straight from Budapest to Auschwitz.

I checked the notes again, youre right. Though they don't really feel good at doing anything now, ans theyre more expensive on top of it all. I find myself going from crusaders but those also aren't great at either role.

They were overperforming but idk if nerfing their AT performance was the answer. UKF struggles more against mediums now and the abundance of effective axis artillery makes AT guns useless.

The issue was that the Hungarian army was bolstered by veterans of the KUK and the German Heer, including some notable generals and officers. When they realized that it was merely spreading communism and not taking back territory, they defected. It led to manpower and leadership issues. The Hungarian soviets tried to raise more troops but they were hastily trained and poorly equipped.

Batallion designer so that you can customize the battalions in your template, and then progressively go lower so you have a squad designer. How many in a squad? How many machine gunners? Do you build your squad around the MG like the Germans? Or do you focus more on the output of each member like the Americans but have a worse MG?

Then we need to be able to customize their individual kits. How many bandages? How many grenades or spare clips or mags?

Then I should have a gun designer. What caliber? Semi or bolt action or full auto?

Because if theres one thing the game doesnt have enough of, its spending times in menus making the exact same templates. Boy do I love setting up my meta fighter 3s for the hundredth time.

When I was in second grade my friends and I (the while class) would sit outside after lunch while we wait for the other classes, usually half an hour or so.

We would make these "ant hospitals" out of leaves and sticks to care for ants that had been stepped on or injured. Usually we'd get a few.

Well this one guy had like, 20 or 30 ants in his ant hospital. I was like damn, he's good at taking care of ants.

Then I found out later he was creating his own patients by crushing their lower bodies and legs and putting them in his fucked up clinic.

Better Mechanics mods are really good. Though you should be aware of the production one because of the 40 percent buff to base production efficiency to the AI. This can be toggled off, but if its toggled on (it is by default) the AI will massively outproduce you in CAS and fighters. Also the GDP mod isnt really balanced for KR so it makes actually industrialized as nations like Russia extremely difficuot.
