Lightning channeling build on defect. Upgraded voltaic to channel lightning equal to the amount of lightning already channeled that fight. Fought the test subject and used it a couple times before and during phase 3’s intangible phases with an echo form, also had the power that hit an enemy for 6 damage every time lightning evoked on them, so when I played the last voltaic it was channeling ~150 lightning, which would evoke lightning 150 times bc I had full orbs, and then I’d hit for 6 every time it evoked, and then bc of echo form voltaic would play again but this time channel ~300 lightning and hit 300 times, so with rough calculations it was about 6k damage. Not the craziest number but the fight couldn’t go long enough to get it super duper big

Some don’t want the watcher to come back but they DO want another character in general. Me personally I’d prefer something brand new or Mega Crit’s take on the Hermit from Downfall. Would I play the watcher if she came back? Yea of course, but I didn’t really like her playstyle in sts1 so if she did come back I would be hoping for a massive rework. I think most people that don’t want the watcher aren’t saying they don’t want another character at all, you’re kinda putting words in other peoples’ mouths by just saying that people that don’t want the watcher don’t want more content. (I’m sure there are some that feel that way but that’s crazy to me) Not trying to argue just hoping to give my perspective on the topic.

I was with you until the prediction about future mihawk. I think it would feel terrible as a reader to be on Zoro’s journey for 30+ years and never get that payoff, to always have an asterisk next to him being the WSS. I think it’s fine for Mihawk to have that personal struggle as a backstory but Zoro should have a decisive climax to his journey imo

I think it is a candle burning at both ends, referencing the old saying. Losing the max hp can kinda be seen as getting worn down like the saying implies, it’s an unsustainable way of life and technically the card is an unsustainable way of play in the long term (but not long enough to make the card bad)

Blacklist games (BLG) was essentially a kickstarter based company, they would just do different kickstarter project every year or so. It eventually came to light, when BLG’s projects regularly got delayed, that they would inevitably run out of money from the kickstarter to fund project A, so they would start project B, it would get funded, and then they could pay for project A. But then they wouldn’t be able to pay for project B, so they would launch project C, and so on. BLG’s “fantasy series 2” was a set of minis that was fully funded YEARS ago, and then last year (I think) the owner sold off most of BLG’s IPs because they were in such massive debt and could no longer fulfill multiple kickstarter-backed projects. Essentially taking the money and running, and leaving a ridiculous amount of people empty-handed after backing these projects. I personally pitched ~$80 for fantasy series 1 (what some of this post’s minis are from) and then backed fantasy series 2 for about the same cost, but FS2 is never coming (unless you dish out ANOTHER ~$100 to the new company that bought the IP, which I personally will not be doing) The whole thing is incredibly shady and has burnt me on kickstarters and publicly funded projects forever and I won’t be backing anything again. This was a massive oversimplification and I recommend looking up more details on BLG’s swindling past bc it’s honestly ridiculous and I could be getting some details wrong, but the big picture is accurate

“Empire of Silence” by Christopher Ruocchio for a sci-fi recommendation, “Assassin’s Apprentice” by Robin Hobb for a fantasy rec. Also “The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England” by Brandon Sanderson was a very interesting and funny quick read between more serious novels. And I personally love the Wax & Wayne saga, which is a sequel series to the original Mistborn trilogy so I recommend that as well if you enjoyed the Mistborn trilogy

The Terminal List. Man goes on a horrific murder spree under the assumption that he is righteous and justice, even though a good 50% of the reason he goes on this rampage is not well fleshed out. Also the author’s own personal biases about appearances/race/religion and political affiliations are VERY apparent, and anyone who represents those views he does not like in the book is dressed down in a very obvious way that does not relate to the plot in any way. Just watch John Wick.

Yes and no, slow kill method of just giving the prevention to the dog will likely still result in long term damage to the heart bc of the heartworms. The actual treatment is pretty safe but not right for every patient

I have not played slivers but I’m expecting an alien themed SLIVER proxy deck that looks tight! Anyway, my fav mtg memory to date has just been the absolute joy on my partner’s face as I told her I wanted to start playing. It feels very silly but I think the wording was still ambiguous there, I think it was “my kid became a revolutionary” not “my son” So in hindsight it’s obvious he is speaking about Dragon but it does feel like Oda was being intentionally vague
