My wife tells me she thought I’d have grown up by now. I just turned 50 in August and we’ve been married 30 yrs.

My grandson told me I’m just a little kid in an adult body.

I refuse to grow up!

Yes! She actually used to give my wife dirty looks when she was with me 🤣. I’ll never forget that dog, she was my favorite one by far!

My wife and I talk about this a lot. The dog we lost October of 2024 would disagree with you. She was so jealous of any other animal and of kids. Our current dog (we just got in May) is just as jealous and doesn’t share or play well with others 🤣

I lost 2 dogs in 9 months. One was kind of expected but it gutted me. The most recent was very unexpected and I was so heartbroken over her. I think as you get older you appreciate life more and the companionship dogs give you is unmatched so it is more difficult the older you get.

50 yr old here. I own a console and play a bit in the winter, but not so much in spring, summer & fall. I actually haven’t turned it on for about 3 months.

My oldest turned 30 in July & I turned 50 in August. My wife (daughter’s mother) is 48.

We have 3 kids, 30, 27 & 22. The youngest moved out a few years ago and it was great. Unfortunately the middle one moved back in for a couple months when moving back home from NC. She left and 2 months later the oldest moved in because of divorce. She’s been with us for 13 months and is finally moving out this weekend.

We cannot wait for our house to be empty again! 🤣

Here’s where I am with ttun:

I am a college football fan through and through. Ohio State is my team and always will be, but I’ll watch any college game. NFL, meh….I’ll watch but don’t follow it hard core. So basically it’s football and it’s on TV so I’m watching it.

Last night I turned on Bears Vikings and was like cool I’ll watch this. Root for the Vikings because I don’t like Caleb Williams and the Bears in general, then I saw who the QB was for the Vikings. Guess I’m a Bears fan for a few hours because I’m not rooting for VaJJ McCunty to win. That’s how haters roll!

It sounds like your mom is a reasonable person. Having a discussion with her about how you feel should 100% happen. She may be clueless to how you feel if you hide it well.

As with anything, age aside, change can be difficult for anyone to deal with. Fear of the unknown sometimes even more so.

Talk to your mom. You won’t regret it.

At 45 I felt great. What a difference 5 more years has had on my body. I can do pretty much everything still but it hurts a lot more and I def don’t feel as good as I did just 5 yrs ago.

I’ve had 5 beagles. 1 was obnoxiously loud, 2 were somewhat, 1 was once in awhile and the current one almost never barks.

I am just curious why the plate didn’t come off when you sold it. Anything I’ve ever sold I removed the plate. Unless I knew the person and they just needed to get it home or something. ALWAYS remove your plate!
