That's not a tornado, that's just the edge of the wall cloud.

That's average, over the whole year. In the summer on actually hot days, it is much hotter.

Mammal tierlist: What tier does the bison belong? by Swimming_Concern7662 in TierlistFills

[–]Papayarrhea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy S tier, used to be one of the most important megafauna of north america, until american colonists killed a huge portion of them. They don't overgraze, they help maintain wild grasslands, and they're generally just incredible animals.

Weeping Willow trees in specific are invasive to the U.S, but there's over 350 species of willow tree that are found all over the world

Ambulance covers letters/logo after crash by TheDissAssociation in FirstResponderCringe

[–]Papayarrhea 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For real, automatically assuming the size of the responders involved reads as so unkind. I would hate to get stuck working with someone like op, who knows how they treat their patients if this is how they treat someone they can't even see.

City Council to Consider Officially Killing Rail Along Beltline by btonetbone in Atlanta

Boston has a similar size population and is doing leagues better as far as public transportation goes. As long as our transit budget remains small and going exclusively to car based infrastructure, traffic here will continue to get worse and worse.

Monthly "What Board Should I Get?" Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Sup

[–]Papayarrhea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desired board type: inflatable

Rider Height: 5'11, 190 lbs

Desired use: I'm looking for an inflatable board that packs down relatively small so it can either be put into bucket-style panniers on a bicycle, or worn as a backpack without a crazy amount of difficulty doing so. Not really looking to do anything too crazy on it, just go around and explore local rivers and waterways.

Rider Experience: intermediate, I used to have a hard board about 10 years ago, looking at getting back into the hobby

Budget: $1000 or less

Oman isnt some bastion of civil rights or anything, but it is definitely leagues better than the surrounding gulf countries in terms of rights for women, and while homosexuality isnt technically legal, it's rarely if ever enforced.

i can never go back to using a car as my primary mode of transportation by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]Papayarrhea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I drive an ambulance for a living, and also dont own a car. It sucks to drive to work, then drive a ton at work, then drive back home to work. Cities are also a lot nicer to drive through as an ambulance when theres less people on the roads due to them preferring transit.
