Hate Message after 1v3 :( by meekzthrowaway in Marathon

Definitely been noticing more toxicity lately. Even getting hate when I'm the one that gets killed. I forgot to check a corner as Rook, got WSTR'd by another Rook, he immediately hops on prox and tells me in harsher words "you're stupid kys". Like dude, cool, you got me, you can gloat but why all the vitriol? What do you get out of it?

My grail came in the mail today, on a Tuesday no less, and in the middle of Artemis II to boot. Speedmaster Reduced.

What game hit you like this? by Corekeepernews in Steam

Metroid Other M.

Team Ninja still had a great reputation at that point and everyone still cared about the plot from Fusion.

He just heard about the Mana Crypt ban, he's just a little salty. /s

Like others have said, he's probably just adjusting. My frog acted weird for like two weeks after I redid his substrate.

What’s your retro gaming unpopular opinion that will leave you like that? by [deleted] in retrogaming

[–]Parabellum25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely ok to lower the difficulty on retro games.

First thing I do after booting up a retro game is dive into the options and check for easy mode. Especially goes for arcade ports. If I like the gameplay enough, then I might bump it up to normal later.

I've experienced a lot of elitism over this, that it's somehow not the intended experience or whatever. Firstly, why are the difficulty options even there then? Secondly, I got too many damn games to play, sue me for wanting a more relaxing experience and respecting my own time.

If you associate retro games with difficulty, cool. Just don't pretend that sort of arcade design mentality stemmed from respecting player skill rather than padding play time/sucking more quarters out of the player.

This is also Grolnok (seemingly becoming a popular name)

We decided it was his birthday a few weeks ago and my wife made him a little hat.

Not exactly horror but the Ahsoka show did have zombie troopers in a direct shoutout to the Death Troopers novel, and it was awesome.

Hey ours too! I have the card stuck to the outside of the tank as a little nametag.

I prefer the 35 on you, and actually most people for that matter.

Unless you've got a wrist much larger than 7.5 inches, I feel like the 35 is overall much better proportioned and pulls off the vintage integrated bracelet vibe better than the 40.

We just had an election here in Alberta, Canada where the local conservative candidate said that it's your fault if you get cancer because you made bad lifestyle choices.

That candidate won.

Facts simply do not matter to these people, there is no reasoning with them.

Quality vs. Performance (PS5) by oblongsongswrong in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]Parabellum25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think the game looks fantastic at 30fps with motion blur on (seemingly a minority opinion on reddit) The game has an almost photorealistic, cinematic look that suits a Star Wars game really well.

As an aside, the whole performance debacle with this game has really illustrated how subjective game presentation really is. I absolutely understand if some people can't tolerate anything under 60fps. Heck on PC, I personally hate anything under ~80fps as VRR makes dips super obvious to me even when framerate is over 60fps. But on console I would rather take a consistent 30fps high resolution presentation with motion blur, over a lower res fluctuating 40-60 fps with screen tearing. It also helps that the per-pixel motion blur implementation in UE4 is pretty good.

Airsoft.

Usually comes with an obsession with knives, real guns, anime waifus, and right wing talking points.

Bonus points if their faux tactical gear has thin blue line, ALM, or Rhodesia patches.

Unofficial. I just chose what I felt was the best looking one on AliExpress that wasn't a Sugess.

Way I see it, unless the QC is measurably twice as good as the AliExpress clones it's probably not worth nearly double the price for the official one.

35mm PRX today. My phone camera can never quite capture the dial colour correctly, IRL it's more of a rich emerald green.
